I don't think so. I had to specifically choose Montreal before it let me pick a date so Vancouver is probably different.

I got an email from the consulate today and we booked our interview. Its not until Feb 12!!! Our NOA2 expires on Jan 9. Does anyone know what we have to do? Do we have to call someone to extend it?

I was wondering if I put him as a spouse on the application since we will be getting married right after I get there. They also ask about my intended occupation. I don't have any idea what I'm going to do once I can work there. Do you think that matters? They also ask about previous trips to the US. I've flown through the US on connecting flights where I had to go through customs. I don't know if these count. I also lived near the Maine border for a few months so I have no idea which exact dates I entered and left the US. And on the second page of the packet there is a check list of things we need. Do I send them to Montreal with the packet 3 forms or do I just gather them at this point and bring them to the interview?

I'm hoping to get the appointments the same week so I don't have to make 2 trips. First I need to figure out packet 3 though. I've looked through it online and I have a lot of questions about it. Have you done of it yet?

We got a wonderful surprise this morning. We called the NVC to ask about our case status and they said it was sent to the consulate on the 19th. Montreal here we come!

That is completely normal. The USCIS processes other peitions as well as I-129f. I once went through 200-300 case numbers before I got to another batch of I-129f's

I checked the 20 case numbers before and after mine and none of them are for K1 visas. They are all for applications for protected status. Has anyone else seen this? I hope mine didn't get sent to the wrong department for filing.

Just found out we got transferred to Texas. I guess that's what the email that said transferred to local office meant. Hopefully this speeds things up!

Does anyone know if the consulate in Halifax can do the interview and give me the visa? I put Halifax on the I-129F but I've been looking online and it seems like they only do it in Montreal and Vancouver. If that's the case do I need to call Vermont and tell them?

Finally got our email confirmation. Hopefully we will get our NOA1 in the mail next week. The only downside was that we got sent to VSC. Its good to know they are moving a bit faster right now

I sent mine last Monday too and I didn't get the text/email yet. I'm still hoping to hear today.
