  1. Hi - I'm new to this entire process.

    I filed my for a K-1 Visa back in Feb, 2013.

    I complete the two sheet and mailed the form off to the Vermont office and included the payment.

    I read the form instructions and it never stated exactly what else needed to be included in the petition filing.

    After mailing I called the USCIS and they told me not to worry about including any other information that they would let me know exactly what documents they needed once they start reading my case.

    It's been 4 months and a letter arrives from USCIS saying:

    "if you disagree with the decision and have additional evidence to show the decision is incorrect you may by filing a I-290B, notice of appeal or motion. Enclosed copy. You may include a brief or written statement to support your appeal. You have 33 days to file from this notice. After that the decision is final.

    They never say what documents they need? No checklist.

    Has anyone out there been approved and know what they want?

    I paid $340 and they can't even send me a list of needed documents.
