  1. Hi,

There are 3 requirements for citizenship under the 3 years rule. For the last 3 years preceding the naturalization application, the applicant must 1) have been married for 3 years to a USC, 2) lived for 3 years with that USC spouse, and 3) have been an LPR for 3 years.

Your wife received her green card on June 27, 2016.

She must file for ROC in the 90 days before her 2 year conditional green card expires on June 2, 2018.

On April 28, 2019, she can apply for citizenship.

Are you sure about the third requirement? I have not see this condition in any USCIS instructions. If you've been married for 3 years to a citizen, you're eligible. Period. So please stop making up your own assumptions and confuse people.

  2. Thanks I checked on this website using my case # https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx?

    I get this but I haven't received a email

    U.S. Department of State

    IMMIGRANT VISA APPLICATION

    Ready

Immigrant Visa Case Number: MOS************ 01 MOS

    Case Creation Date: 15-Jul-2013

    Status Updated Date: 22-Jul-2013

Your case is ready for your interview when scheduled at the U.S. Consular section. If you have already scheduled an appointment for an interview, please prepare your documents as directed in your appointment letter and appear at the consulate on the appointed date and time. Otherwise, please wait until you have been notified of your interview appointment. Additional information about how Immigrant Visa interview appointments are scheduled can be found at: http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3731.html

For more information, please visit TRAVEL.STATE.GOV.

    Hi

Sorry to bother you, but I just got the same status. Do they mail a packet 3 letter directly to my fiancee, or she should contact the consulate herself to schedule an appointment for interview? what's the next step?

  3. For me it was a couple days at NVC tops before shipping to the Embassy..however, I have seen people post that there case was stuck in Administrative processing at NVC. I've also seen people have delays when TSC made an error and it had to be sent back to be fixed. I would try calling NVC and/or DOS to see..usually the delay is getting to NVC, not at their facility...good luck. smile.png

Thanks. I just called. They said my case is going through additional processing. No timeframe provided... What's the hell is additional processing about???
