Yes, I didn't include my marriage license because I thought they already have one from my I485. They returned the whole thing a few weeks later and I had to re-send the whole thing. Overall it doesn't take longer than 3 weeks. Did you send it certified? If yes, you can check when they receive it based on the tracking #.

Thank God. I did forget something actually 2 pages. They sent the package back and I just sent it back. Thanks.

If I remember right, VSC processes slightly faster than CSC. There must be an explanation for this. I mean, they don't start working on our files now, since they're still working on 2016 cases. Was your envelope secured and sent by registered mail? Are you within the 90 days (90 days until your conditional card expires)? Was the check at the front of your package? I hope they'll cash it soon. Maybe someone who is also going through the VSC and has a similar timeline may be able to shed some light on this

i sent it thru UPS. And Im still within the window because it doesn't expire until 10/10. The check was in front of the package with the application. Hmm, I'm playing how I packaged it 10,000 times in my head and nothing comes up missing. I just don't know

Just thinking what could be wrong ... are you sure you're within the 90 days window period? Cos if not, they wouldn't cash your cheque, they would rather return the package back to you...

calling them might not get you the answer you want cos they will give you the usual "pls give 40 days before you call in to check your case"

I am still within the window. His GC expires 10/10.

Yes I sent it thru UPS. I tracked it and it was received on 9/7/17. I am just praying that everything is ok. Especially, when its above to expire.

You can start breathing now.  The average is 7-21 business.  Note that I say average.  Some are faster, some are slower.  If you have receipt of delivery, then you know it got there.

    Thank you for replying.

If this helps calm you down a bit....your spouse's green card expiring does not mean his status as a resident expires, so don't worry too much about the expiry date.  So long as you filed the application before the expiry date (they determine this by postmark  or date of delivery, not the date they open your package), you are fine in terms of the GC expiring.

As far as your method of payment is concerned, you can call/visit most banks and ask them if the check has been cashed.  I assume you kept the receipt portion when you purchased it to give them pertinent info they need.

I called and they stated that it has not been cashed yet.

I'm not sure which service center you're going through. I am through the one in California and they replied. Could it be that maybe they couldn't cash the check (mistake on it, wrong amount,...)? Then, they'd have to return you the package. For the California service center, I put the check in the first folder, right with the I751, I used a paper clip to attach it to it.

I am going throughout Vermont. I put $680 cashier's check. And I just called and the bank stated it wasn't cashed yet.

  7. Please someone help me!!!!!! I am freaking out. I sent in the I -751. UPS confirmed it was received on 9/7/17 but I haven't received a NOA1. And its 9/22/17. I know I sent in everything and signed the form!!!. I don't even know who to call. I sent in a cashiers check from our Bank of America account. I have no idea if they cashed it. I see people received their NOA 1 within 2 days. My spouse's green card is going to expire on 10/10. I can't sleep. I have no idea what to do. Do they return the whole package if something is missing??? And if so how long does it take??
