Alhamdulilah With the blessings of Allah, my husband got his passport with visa but now I have a problem, my husbands visa expires around February the second week, and I am only 5 weeks pregnant , ad on bed rest, how many days before is my husband suppose to go to the USA,? Is there any way they can give my husband more time on the visa? Or should I just go and get some special care from airport , taking letter from my OBGYN ?

Just tell your husband to go to American Express next time they are open. In Karachi, they are very friendly and work with you.

I am not sure , because to be honest after the 19th I checked only a few times not daily, that days I would check there would be no update , and then on 28 I saw that there was update on 27th

I tryed contacting the number they gave for Peshawar speedex but the phone is not even reachable , and plus on top of that it was Christmas and now New Years coming up, so I guess I have to wait

They updated it on 11th December, 16, 17, 18 and 19, and then just 3 days ago issued! Alhamdulilah

With the blessings of Allah the almighty , my husband status on the ceac changed about 3 days ago saying ISSUED, and that his visa is printed , I had a question to ask, how many days will it take for him to get his passport? And will we get a call? So far we didn't get any email or call. Just making duaa that everything goes well

I have contacted my senator and faxed my a paper saying that my husbands case is in administrative processing, and that we need Help, I got reply back and then faxed more information , so hoping for the best , just want to know, anyone here on VJ got good results from the senator thanks

unfortunately if you are at the DC office, you are looking at 6-8 months.. you can file a service request, but most likely will get that very response

I'm going in 7 weeks to visit my husband. I haven't been back bcos our daughter has a brain tumor and last year I couldn't leave her to see him. I'm very excited... we will spend EID together, our first EID since being married and the time will pass quickly I know but just knowing ill be there with him comforts me in this long process. SM2010 I pray daily your husband will come very very soon Inshallah.

My husband had interview on February 26, 2013, and it's been almost 4 months of his AP, may ALLAH make an end to his AP, it is a very painful process , may ALLAH give us Sabar , and give all of us happiness ! , really hate this process, we don't even know what's going on and what's not going on

Hmmm my lawyer gave me a heads up that's its possible for them to come, but the thing is I do parda, and my mother in law all of us to parda, my in laws don't allow other men to come inside, I just hope they don't come and they give my husband visa soon, I hate the AP this is the worse pain ever !!

Hi , we had an interview on February 26, 2013, and my husband was also put in AP, it's been almost 4 months now , and we have no clue what's going on, they also took my husbands passport to on the interview date , I just hope Inshallah we all get our visa inshallah ,'may ALLAH bless us with happiness, of the visa, because this AP is one big pain killer

Hey, when the embassy people come to your house , what questions do they ask? And do they always come to people houses , or is it in your luck if they come or no

Wow 2 years ?that's a lot of time , may ALLAH make an end to your AP , so your husband can get a visa right on the spot, so you both can go to USA

Wow 8 months is a lot to, our AP has been only 4 months now and time is passing by so slow , ALLAH knows how much more time we have left , they use to give visa on the spot, now days cause of situation they take so much time , it's all about luck , who ever case goes to there hands they get, my last update on there website is April 23, 2013, and since that time it hasn't been updated , I am really confused , don't know if I should wait for some more time , or should I go back to the states , I have had 2 miscariages in the past 9 months , I guess that was in my luck, lets see what happends further , hoping for some good news from my husband visa , to get some good news , been in very bad depression , hope this AP gets to an end

8 months is AP now , and I will agree the most aggravating part is not having a time limit . You have no idea if you will be in AP for years just to receive a denial. The whole process in crazy and our lives are on hold. I understand the necessity of security checks , but there is no possible way it could take 8 months to runs somebody's background. You supply with them with education information , work history ,and previous addresses for the last ten years you have already gave them the majority of the information they need. I seriously believe they don't want to approve the visa , they are dragging the process out so that the couple will lose faith and possible separate or give up. To make the situation worse , i applied for a tourist visa to visit my love in Pakistan , and was denied after 3 months of waiting with no reason. When I asked why I was denied they responded " we don't know , and we cant tell you ".

My congressman is also no help . In the beginning he offered to write the consulate and inquire about the status of my case. Islamabad replied

"Your case is currently undergoing AP , There is no way to know how long this will take .When it is complete we will contact you" One month later I asked my congressman to inquire again. my congressman said " There is no need, they will contact you when its over". I was so surprised . Just because the embassy wrote this stupid email , now my fiance and I are suppose to wait until the end of time ..... until the embassy is ready to contact us? It seems there should be a set limit , a place to complain , someone to help!!!
