  1. I think i got screwed guys i received my NOA2 on October 16th. and the NVC just received my case on December 9th. I had called the USCIS sometime in late Novemeber and was wondering why they hadn't shipped to NVC. I had to call like 2 times and finally spoke with a supervisor who told me that my case was still there and hadn't been shipped and he even said it was odd and a little bit behind the normal time. Basically they dropped the ball and my case didn't get shipped to NVC when it was suppose to. It sat in the USCIS offices a month longer then it should have He apolgized and had it shipped to NVC. So basically i am a month behind of where i should be. If i had never called my case would still be at the vermont office. You cant lay off these people! they will screw you if you let them. i just received military orders so hopefully once i finally get a case number which im sure wont be until like january 9th they will approve my expedite request.

  2. i am the beneficiary attending the interview when ready, do i ask my wife to scan for me her passport stamps from each trip and scan each boarding passes and tickets or ask her to mail me originals? i do have all photos and other hotel reservations and others..

well they always say to be overly prepared when its interview time cause some officers can be a pain but most are usually nice and understanding as long as they have no reason to believe anything is suspicious. They really like to see passport stamps cause it physically shows a person was in that country on a particular date. The boarding passes and itineraries are just bonuses technically they prove nothing but it helps ur case and may provide a little piece of mind for the officer if u have them. They also like photos of the couples together with a date stamp on the picture. Those are solid pieces of evidences. But dont worry its not that big a deal if u dont have those im sure u will be fine its a good chance they wont even ask about recent trips. But yes if i were i would have her email the itineray to u and mail the orginal boarding passes to you if she still has them. And then scan the passport stamps for each visit. That may be over kill but i like to have as much as possible when it comes to one person deciding the fate of my future. Hotel reservations will be great also.

  3. Hello my fellow May filers just recieved my NOA2 in the mail today. I recieved my NOA1 on May 27 and NOA2 on October 16th so it was just under 5 months. My service center is Vermont. Its weird cause i didnt recieve a email or text message which i signed up for and i just checked my case status on the uscis website and it still says intial review. Dont count on a text notification guys. Im guessing they are just slow to update the system on the uscis website. So make sure ya'll are checking your mailboxes. On to some new B.S. i guess with the NVC and this 60 day ####### they have going on i keep hearing about. I have been quiet in this thread mostly but im always on this site reading and getting information from other people expierences. Love this site! I hope the rest of yall are making progress at the NVC right now or recieving your NOA2 shortly if not there yet. Im sure i will need some guidance from you guys here soon.

    Cheers

  4. Just got an email from NVC, recieved my IV package but due to High influx of immigration packages it will take 60 days till they review it. Between the AOS taking 60 days and now this, looks like the waiting part will be at NVC now.

Damnit! that really sucks. Im not even at the NVC stage yet and Im mad. Im sure this backlog issue will continue for months and months to come. NOT COOL NVC!!!!

  5. I totally understand your frustation. However take a look again at the NVC website. They are changing the whole process. You can send both pkgs in at the same time. My advice is not to listen to everything the NVC operators tell you, half of them don't have a clue about this process. I wish you and all of us the best.

Hey when does this.new.process take effect is it now. I'm still reading about people saying that they have to wait 60 days for each packet to be sent. Can u post the link with this new information I can't find.it.

  6. Is there anybody who got assigned to Vermont Service Center? I feel lonely!

Mccartna, did you file from abroad?

What are the requirements for filing from abroad and how do you do it?

My husband, USC, is temporary here with me in Italy but we didn't file from abroad... I'm starting thinking I filed wrong..:

I am a vermont filer as well NOA1 may 28th. Lets hope they are moving faster then usual.

  7. Hi everyone,
Sent my I-130 package via mail on May 24th to Phoenix lockbox. USPS delivery confirmation states package got delivered on May 27th. Haven't received NOA1 yet :-( Signed up for Text/Email notification also. Any advice on approximate date for NOA1 please ?

Hey i mailed my packet on may 22nd and i just received my email/text NOA1. I got it today May 30 at 12:05am. Didnt think i would get a email and text at midnight i was shocked but overall it looks like its taking roughly 8 days for a response. You will get it either tomorrow or monday. Maybe even this weekend. But its coming.
