  1. Hey guys,

    To give you update:

I have case completed on 02 Dec. (without sending any new documents)

Please don't congratulate me, I am frustrated by NVC. (They admit they have mistaken)

I should had my case complte around 10-15 Nov, but I received checklist for missing Marriage Certificate.

I had hundreds of e-mails, calls to probably every one person at NVC. And they corrected the error of course with 20 days delay.

And I don't have interview date as I should have with the other good people here for Jan...

    That's the real life....

And now I am praying for february and I don't beleive anybody and I hope that nobody will "play with my life" anymore from this burocracy people...

Of course there is little hope to get interview in December / January.

I have filed expedite request because of

    1) NVC error

    2) Lie by NVC manager that he will re-review my docs until 20th Nov.

    3) Medical conditions...

And in case this guys(NVC) function as a business I should have expedite request approved - mainly because of the lie by the phone, in this country lying is not a good thing especially in cort....

  2. Gracias por los saludos wink.png

Apparently, they can't just go and look again at my documents... you HAVE TO send them the documents again which needless to say compounds to my frustration.

I tried, I called 3 times to the NVC just in case I got a bitter operator but all 3 told me the same thing. I also emailed and I got the same reply. :\

    Thanks rotcivmex41,

Actually if I were you on your place I would fight, but that just me. Your case is diferent from law point of view from mine.

I can't prove that this document was not missing from the packet.....but in your case to be honest with you I think you can win it, because the document is with them and they are not hiding that.

What I mean - The biggest issue that I see in your words is that you haven't speaked with supervisor.

For cases like yours the operators can't help they don't care....

Ask for supervisor and tell about that - you won' have to send the same document, they match and such and you won't wait another 30 days,

Please do it for me, I am confident that you will succeed. If the supervisor doesn't want to help you propagate and elevate the story to higher level of chain But fight it, the truth is on your side.

  3. I was too caught in the bureaucratic nightmare of checklists... I sent my AOS and IV packets, I checked them and rechecked them over and over again. I was sure everything was ok...

and then I got an email that the amount of my income does not match my taxes for last year. I got copies and THEY DID MATCH! apparently they misread line 18 for line 19 and now I have to sent a new identical copy again and wait for 30 days sad.png((

I don;t know about you but this process tears me apart inside, I know that at this stage we are almost done but I do get sad days every once in a while because I feel so helpless /rant :\

In your case isn't it possible to talk with manager or USCIS directly to tell that about your case, I don't see a point to send same document again in case it is not lost like mine.

But generally I feel your pain and to be honest I don't wish that to anybody to be in this situation.

    Cordiales saludos. :-)

  4. Even more it was with certified English Translation + Certificate from foregin ministry + some other stuff needed or not

(Just I have exerience dealing with far worst bureaucracy) and I sent things in more not less......

But like I said - I was hoping not to be the black sheep - But here I am - possibly with lost documents.

NVC definetly not happy from you guys....

  5. It's sad to get this after waiting this long. If you had sent a certified copy did you do the certification from the issuing authority or not?

Yep correct together with all additional -

Please submit this applicant's original marriage certificate, or a certified copy, bearing the appropriate seal or stamp of the issuing authority. If the certificate is a certified copy of the original it must come from the issuing government authority and it must contain annotation by the issuing government authority indicating that it is an extract from the official records.

Documents must be from the appropriate issuing government authority. Failure to provide the correct document will delay your case and may result in re-scheduling of your interview, or refusal of a visa.

Certified copy - was with appropriate stamp, it was from isuing authority - with the annotation of extract and everything....:-(

Seems that I'll send the same document again - Don't know what to do, This guys from NVC could not tell me what seems to be the problem - So my guess is - They've lost it.

  6. Hello there! That makes us 2 unhappy beneficiaries! I received an email which stated that my IV docs were accepted already and they were just waitig for the response to my AOS checklist, which i already sent. I was eagerly waitig for the acceptance of my AOS checklist, but when the 16th day of my checklist, i called NVC, hoping to hear that my case was finally complete, only to find out that i got another checklist. The CSR of NVC told me that maybe when they were about to transfer my case to USEM and finalizing my papers, my passport copy was missing. To cut the story short, a got another checklist asking me to send in again my passport copy. Anyway, i have no choice but to send it in and now am waiting for case completion... again. I hope no one will anymore experience this kind of situation. NVC really tend to misplace documents.

Sorry to hear that. Maybe some people just don't have luck. That's the truth..

    In my case:

I've sent Marriage Certificate - according to requirements described.

Most probably the've lost it sometime during unpacking.

Seems I am the black sheep of that month...

  7. Hi texastar! Im experiencing such situation sad.png but it was clearly stated in the email that i have to comply the requested missing information & signature on the day of my interview otherwise submitting it to the NVC or reopening the case will delay the issuance of your visa or the interview appointment. Im abit relief bt partly worried sad.png Hope things will ran smoothly on the big day wink.png good luck to us.

In my case it is very weird. Generally I am very unphappy with NVC. That's the situation.

I got checklist - It seems to be false one this friday for missing Marriage Certificate:

    ______5 - MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE:____________________________________

    Which I did n't understand.

I send marriage certificate with IV documents. Before 21 business days.

It was certified copy, bearing stamp and everything that the checklist describe....

After that I was so depressed because of this NVC guys incompetence. So I decided to call them, and I unerstand that my IV documents haven't been still processed. So what is the point of this checklist?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

After 21 business days, when most of the people here state 17-18 days...

And Now most probably I will miss January interview.

If somebody from NVC reads that - Generally you have one unhappy customer - That's what I can say.....

  8. Don't feel that way, as every case is unique. Yours will be completed soon, so just wait for the time. It might be before the end of the week.

I called yesterday night, less than 24 hours and i was told they are still waiting on my ds-260 and i called back today just to be told that i'm case complete.

    That's half true ;-)

In case it was IR IV kinda I am ok with you.

But in F2A the truth is that every minute counts.

In case that delay from their side happens and I go for Feb interview and they are no visa availability?

Who will pay for that delay outside IV civil docs processing times of ceas page - it is clearly stated the following one:

    "

You have successfully submitted your DS-260 to the National Visa Center (NVC). If you need to update your immigrant visa application, please contact the NVC.

If you have not already done so, submit your supporting documentation (as listed on the Documents The Applicant Must Submit web page) to the NVC. Upon receipt of your supporting documentation, the NVC will review your DS-260.

The time to review your documentation after its receipt at the NVC is 2 to 4 weeks. If any additional information is required after the review, the NVC will notify the applicant (or the applicant’s agent).

    Who will pay for that?

    :-)

If that whas a business you can take them to court for that, just to let you know from auditor point of view :-)

    "

  9. They close 12am. I've called them 11pm before.

    Thanks jewel4life!

Pray for me...:-( I told case complted earlier because my docs were in system for review on 18th Oct...

And I thought that I don't need to call for verification from NVC....but in the morning they told me they are still under review :-(

I just called before 5 minutes - It is the same :-(

I feel so bad why some people filled documents after me are processed but not me :-((((((

Really feel.......discriminated, but what can I do...I will wait :-((((((

  10. Wohaahhahha, Just called NVC and got case completed today and waiting to get scheduled for interview he said.

    Hurray.

Apple21 take me to blue please.

Hello jewel4life! Congrats !!!! So happy for you.

    Just from curiosity point.

You've wrote this in 8:42PM evening US time,

is there NVC support phone number for that time of the day,

I am asking because I normally call in the mornings and I thought they are available from 7am to 1pm or something like that?

  11. Check out my timieline please smile.png ,. However we have been at NVC since July 31st 2013.

    That doesn't metter.

They have FIFO process for AOS/IV.

My case whas completed today also. (18th Oct)

I am sure that January VB will be Green for me.

Now I am praying for the consular office - not to slow me down :-((((((((((((

Just I am paranoic until I don't see actual IV stamped I feel something could go wrong :-((((((((

  12. My documents were received on 24th of Oct. I have a quick question, is NVC closed today for Veterans Day?

I think you will be good for January interview. Little bit on the border but...I am sure you will be OK.

Which reminds me to ask the auditory one let's call it use case:

Is it possible something like that:

Mr. Nuton - case complete 13 Nov - country Iceland - Not getting interview January.

Mr. Mendeleev - case complete 19 Nov - country Argentina - Interview date - 20 Jan

Thanks in advace for answering this question :-)

  13. Where does it say that F2A will retrogress for all countries? DOS indicated that there will be no forward movement on F2A in the coming months(which to me means it will stay at the same level as today) for most countries (except mexico).

    FAMILY-sponsored categories (potential monthly movement)

    Worldwide dates:

    F1: Three to five weeks

F2A: No forward movement, the Mexico cut-off date is likely to retrogress

    at some point

    F2B: Three to five weeks

    F3: Three to five weeks

    F4: Two or three weeks

    Yea vkrishn,

I thnik Niraj is kinda lost.

    I don't see anything bad for F2A.

Even I can bet January VB for F2A will be as this one advices.

BUt most interesting part in January one will be visa availability prediction for following months...
