Visa Backlogs

The President’s announcement did not include any immediate policy recommendations. Instead, his Visa Modernization Memorandum creates an interagency group to submit recommendations to the President by March 20, 2015. The priorities of the task force are to improve efficiency, ensure that all available visas are used, and create a stronger infrastructure.

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) Director León Rodríguez announced today that, effective May 26, 2015, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is extending eligibility for employment authorization to certain H-4 dependent spouses of H-1B nonimmigrants who are seeking employment-based lawful permanent resident (LPR) status. The rule change is part of a broader package of immigration reform executive actions announced by President Barack Obama.

Personally, i like this report from NVC inspite of the delays from them...Year on Year they produced this report and the DOS was reading this too....But from the President EO this year, this report assumes significance as the DOS has to come up with some measures to reduce the backlogs...Hope something turns up...

My Analysis from this report...

First F4...2,455,964 pending petitons includes the count of the derivatives too..Assuming a family of four as part of the count and divide the number by four..it ends up with 6,13,991...so, not counting derivatives as part of the visa numbers will certainly have an impact in the backlogs

It is better right now for the F2B categories to be in the same position rather than converting to F1....

The % change of filings for the Employment Green Card has decreased from the previous year for EB2, EB3 & EB4...

Republicans in US are weighing several options on immigration reform, including introducing their own bill, perhaps as early as this week, as well as targeting the funding of agencies that play a key role in the executive action to counter Obama's Executive Order.

Well this will be heart breaking for the families of F4, whoes cases are still pebding , abd they get eliminated.

but at least , after that , they can live a single life , their american dreams would come to end, and they will work hard in their own country.

I will share my story.

we were living 2 lifes in pakistan , we use to say to every one , we will go to america , we will go to america.

now I am here in USA for more than 1 year , and I regret about my past.

I could have enjoyed a lot in pakistan , but we were just saving for USA.

now here , we had to start again from scratch.

off course , only rich and middle class people of pakistan have access to america.

so I can tell you guys , middle class and rich life of pakistan is hundred times better than this life of USA.

we had servants in pakistan , we were living life of a king there.

here we have to do every thing our self.

you have to get lot of education to get some good job , at least you have to go till masters.

other wise , lay man jobs are waiting for you.

fold cloths , sell food , wash dishes ,... this is all what you get.

Well guys don't worry at all. Cases approved by USCIS and waiting at NVC will never be eliminated.

To be implemented in Spring 2015.

Legal immigration:

1. Expand student visa options.

2. A new program for entrepreneurs who have investment and created jobs.

3. Portability of employment-based work visas.

4. H4 EADs for those who have an approved green card application (don’t think they changed anything from the rules that were released earlier this year).

No recapture of unused visas that I was so hoping for.

this thing will go in congress and last line is... Boost our economy and keep families together by simplifying our legal immigration process.

And it clearly means that. Eliminate brothers and sisters visas from quota.. and increase visa quota for green card holder spouses and children and increase visa for high skilled workers.. this is what they want.. because if they eliminate brothers and sisters than they save every year 65000 visas plus they will also save 2.4 million visas of pending cases as they will also eliminate it immediately as we know what were there plans last year. and its easy for them to use in employment and spouses.

But i think congress will not pass it. because for this purpose they also have to issue green card to 13 million illegals..

There's nothing in it which can give us some hope.

The author is expressing his assumptions .

It is also for legal immigration and also have provision to reduce backlogs for family based category............

7. Improve the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services’ ability to handle visa applications and prevent fraud.

“Administrative orders that require us to grant immigration benefits to those who, under law, are not properly eligible” and “approval quotas placed on adjudicators that emphasizes clearing applications more than vetting them”

I think this in point no. 7 is for the legals waiting in line.

I have read so much stuff I cant even remember if Obama has any plans for the legal people waiting...can anyone tell me what if anything he is doing on his own for us??

i think all members have to forget it because waiting time will be 50 years and more ... so death will catch any one of you (applicant or the principle) before getting IV ... because death will cancel the petition automatically ...(please don't be angry to my disappointment)................ this is the Immigration Policy

Two weeks movement is really very disappointing.

The only hope is on Obama's Executive Order and that also if there is something in it for the Family Based people waiting in line.

counting each individual family member against the overall cap, the government could instead only count the head of a family — and not siblings, spouses, or children.
