our F2A visa case completed on July 26th, 2013

Does anyone know how long might it take to get interview date ? NVC operator has only one answer - depends from your consulate!

so, considering the fact that we are on second preference visa type, once a slot for interview in Consulate become available is given first to IR-1/CR petitioner...

Reading though feed backs from this forums- it turns to be that time between Case Complete notification and interview appointment varies greatly.

Yes, you (or your attorney) will receive an email/mail notification with further instructions how to proceed

Me too.I dont know why status "Paid" become "Not Paid" today....!!!

hmmm... it is very strange

if your payment didn't go trough NVC's payment authorization system immediately after payment but happened only after several weeks - probably you going to get clearing their system - may be it for good??? you gonna get THE news very soon.

Alternatively, I would call NVC - just to make sure everything under control

Also I have one more question. I am waiting for there interview letter. In month of July my father birth day and after next month is my son birth day. So, my plan before there interview I want present with them in there interview also I want to attend my father birth day in my country. If I get the travel in that time is any problem. I m confuse coz if the embassy want anything at the time of interview? Please let me know. And I'm planning to visit my country in month of June between 25-30 June, 2013

I you should not have any problems in traveling out of country - the only thing that you have to worry about is not miss an interview appointment letter from embassy , after that you will need time to get your medical exam and all that.

my wife she is green card holder and we are married about year now , she is in us and im in iran now , she fill out form i-130 on oct 2012 for me ,and send it to USCIS chicago , i have Q how long more should i wait till embessy timing , and the other Q is i was living in india from 2004 to 2011, and since 2011 im living in iran . is it the pcc or police clarification nessasary from india ? and i have to get it ?

it would take you about 1.5- 2.5 years to get your case approved and after that you will start collect support documents. You wife or co-sponsor would need file docs for Affidavit of Support. But... if you wife become US citizen earlier, she would need to adjust her status and you are going to be considered as a spouse of US citizen and you will get Green Card with 4-6 months.

NVC operator told me that they are waiting response from US consulate to schedule an interview...

We are trying to predict our interview date… so it got me into thinking:

Do US citizen petitioners are given priorities over open slots in Embassy before Permanent Resident petitioners

or it is doesn't matter what the immigration visa categories are you, once I-130 case is complete and waiting for interview?

But at least I found out that our case was completed one day earlier that the official e-mail

I would like to add our case into the list... but not sure where we are right now.

Pref Category - F2A

Priority date - 9 May 2010

I-130 approved - Feb 22, 2013

Case N received - Mar 18, 2013

Check list response received form NVC on June 28 saying : "NVC has completed the review of your case...applicant to bring financial docs. to the interview."

CEAC tracker says that the case is still "at NVC" status as well as NVS's phone operator.,

Consulate in Tbilisi, Georgia ( the Interview will be held there) won't tell me any info regarding my status.

Once you case complete - you supposed to receive notification from NVC saying that what to do next.

Usually it takes 4 or 5 days to send your file to Embassy where you are going to get interview and visa

you can call to or e-mail to the embassy too- just to make sure that you are on right track
