Done with medical and interview will be on Jan 9. I was expecting a date after ehsanandlaura but I got an earlier date instead but all is well and I have bought my tickets... Fiancé will be here with me too!!
I was surprised as well to see that! Wonder why? But actually our date works out perfect for us so we are happy.
-
Our interview will be January 16th
Now the hunt is on for a good ticket to get me over there with my man!
-
Congrats on your packet 3. I am not sure how far out they are scheduling interviews. We still haven't received the packet 4 yet
-
It could. ours also changed on that day. maybe they sent them out all at once? or maybe they just entered in information. Not sure :/
-
Our status date changed on the 22nd. hoping that means our packet 4 was sent.
-
Just curious, does anyone know if their CEAC status date changed when their packet 4 was sent out to them? Ours didn't change when packet 3 was sent, but wondering if it will be when packet 4 was?
Thanks and good luck everyone!
-
To anyone who already received their packet 4. Do you happen to know if your CEAC status changed the day they sent it to you? Our packet 3 was delivered friday, so just wondering when they will send out packet 4
thanks!

this is it
they sent you the wrong checklist. That is for a spousal visa, as it is also requesting the I-184.
For K-1 they need the DS-160 and the I-134
-
Our packet 3 requested the DS-160. Not the 260
You can call NVC to get the number. NVC should have sent you a letter containing the informations that you need. Anyways, one Malaysian member recently filled in the DS-160 form, so, to be on the safe side, why don't you fill in both and print out the confirmation sheet?
I thought you have to send the confirmation sheet together with P3 checklist before they schedule an interview for you?You take the confirmation sheet with you to the interview. The only thing you send back with the packet is part 1 of the DS-230, the checklist, and a copy of your passport.

Fiance went in for her interview. and when it was finished, the lady didnt say denied or approved. She just said ok.......looks good, see the next booth window and she will tell you when to pick up your PASSPORT???
So she has to go in on Friday the 15th to pick it up.
What does that mean? My Fiance and I thinking good things, but were not actually told we are accepted
pretty sure that means it was approved. The visa should be in the passport once it's picked up. If you get a chance, please leave a review of the interview in the KL Consulate forum. Malaysia doesn't have many reviews

Tonight we received this:
Initial ReviewOn November 12, 2013, your address was changed relating to the I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E) that you filed. Please check our website at www.uscis.gov for further updates on your case. Please wait until the end of normal processing time before calling customer service at 1-800-375-5283 for live assistance.
I'm just curious why though, because neither me nor my fiancee has updated our address and we still live at our respective homes. Has anyone gotten this same message in error before? I searched the board but didn't find anything related to it. I know it's not the NOA2 that we've been hoping for....and honestly I don't know what it means. Should we call USCIS or put in an E-Request?
We had received this same message and I immediately started to panic as our address had not changed either lol! So I called, they said it was an error, and still showed on their end that it was in process. However, later on that night our status changed to approved

Just Curious,
We do not have our interview date yet, but should know any day now. I am thinking it will either be in December or January. My question is, if it is in january or later, do I need to redo my I-134 and have to wait to file my 2013 Tax returns? That would cause quite a delay since employers do not even have to send out W-2s until January 31st.
-
So we're going to call the NVC to get our case number we have been approved nearly 3 weeks. I just need to know a few things if anyone can help.
What's the number I call?
What options do I choose to get through?
What do I need and what will they need?
Thanks if anyone can help this would be great I suck on phones honestly.
You can call this number up until midnight (603) 334-0700
I would normally call around 9pm central and wouldn't have to hold too long (about 15 minutes). I know it sounds like a long time but many times during the day you could be on hold for about an hour. You might get a busy signal when you call. Just hang up and keep trying until you get through.
You will need the petitioner and beneficiary's name and birthdays. And your USCIS case number.
If the give you your NVC case number, also ask for the invoice number, as you'll need that later

Hi, sorry I didn't know the answer to this. Which one did u eventually send it to?
I have a few questions too..
The certificate of good conduct, do you need to take a copy along to the interview?
The birth certificate, my dad's name is printed wrong, will it pose a problem during the interview? Do I have to change it?
also, the new birth cert, the english translation only apply to the description, eg. Jantina (gender): PEREMPUAN. Is that ok?
I think that's about it for now...
Thank u
We contacted the Embassy, and they told us to send it to the one with the PO BOX
Yes, you need the original certificate of good conduct. you do not send it back in packet 3
As for the birth certificate issues, I'm not sure. I would email them. They are pretty good at replying withing a couple of days. Email klconsular@state.gov
Make sure you include both the petitioner and beneficiary's names and birthdays and your case number.
-
Hope someone will reply to this. Which address did you return your Packet 3 to? Was it
P.O. Box 10035
376 Jalan Tun Razak
50700 Kuala Lumpur
or
376 Jalan Tun Razak
50400 Kuala Lumpur
?
Both of these addresses were incorporated with our packet 3 so we are a little confused and it is not calling hours for the US embassy right now. We'd like to get it sent back

Thread is pretty quiet lately. Any updates from anyone?
-
*** Thread moved from K-1 Process forum to the Embassy/Consulate forum -- topic involves that phase. ***
(Moderator hat off)
You can either contact the consulate now, or correct it at the time of interview. Inform both the document-intake person and the consul.
Thank you!

We just received our Packet 3 and saw my fiance's name has been missed spelled. I went back and double checked the forms we submitted and we had spelled it correctly on all the forms.
The correct spelling is "Mohammad"
They have it spelled "Mohammed"
Is this something we need to worry about? Should we contact them to correct it or correct it at the time of the interview?
Thanks and good luck everyone!

Just received an Email and they approved the 129f, how long is it for the next step in the process?
the reason I ask is that my Fiancée wants to fly from Malaysia to London to work for a bit. I don't think its a good idea myself, but she has made up her mind.
Our Petition was approved Sept. 27th. We are still waiting on packet 3
We know the Embassy received our package on October 11th. Now it just seems to be a waiting game. We called the embassy today to try and find out if our packet three has even been sent or not, and all they told us was to wait. Didn't really answer our question because they didn't even take any information from us.
-
I think I know what forms she is going to need but am not sure if she can send them in before the packet arrives? If there is an additional item needed we might just be wasting time doing it early and would just have to re-send again
I know exactly which forms we need. We have already filled them out. However we have to send them back with the checklist which is in the packet. So unfortunately we have to wait for that
Kuala Lumpur does not have the packet 3 online unlike some countries. I wish they did! It would make it much easier for sure!
-
Our case is ready at the embassy in Saigon but my fiance is still waiting for packet 3....patience is a virtue
Our case has been ready since the 11th in Kuala Lumpur...Still no packet 3. *sigh*
-
I'm sure it is on the way to the Malaysian Embassy by now. When you get packet 3 can you tell me what's in it? I'm not sure if it's still the same because in some embassy, they changed the form to DS-160.
The embassy already has our package. they received it on 11th. Another Malaysian member already told me that the third packet contains the ds-230 and have to complete the ds-160 online

NVCINQUIRY@state.gov
I've gotten a rep everytime I've called. I usually call after 8pm Central time

Finally picked up my visa yesterday along with the packet of documents!
Was supposed to be picked up on Friday, but when I got to the embassy they told me their system was down and I had to come back on Monday!
It's so frustrating that they didn't contact me beforehand
But it's all done! Finally to fly!
Yay! Congratulations!! We are still waiting to receive packet 3
Our status was updated on the 22nd so we thought that meant they sent it to us

Good luck to you as well
I'll be flying to Malaysia on the day of your interview so I won't get to see what your outcome is. But please make sure you leave a review of how it went!
