Ok thanks for the advice.
Correct, I have visa waiver program to visit the US.
As I already went through the K1 process not so long ago within the year, am I correct in thinking I can submit the same docs (police, medical) that I used for K1 if my wife applies for CR. Thus not having to pay for those again ?

I came to US on a K1 visa and got married to my wife within the 90 days, however after the marriage we had many disagreements and I choose to leave before the 90 days expired on 1st April. I went into Canada for a little while and returned to the US on a tourist visa so I could get the cheapest flight back to the UK. Now having returned to the UK my wife and I have been talking and she is suggesting I come back and give it another go. I have explained to her I don’t think it is that simple as just coming back and adjusting status as I know longer have a K1. Is it still possible to file for Adjustment of Status if I went back to the US, I am assuming this would be on a tourist visa which confuses me. However I did read somewhere that you actually have 2 years from K1 expiry date to apply for AOS.

"Your ethnicity doesn't matter with your AOS. I'm not sure why you're even bringing it up. The USA is full of people from many different ethnic backgrounds."
I am just asking if this is a question that in this process, I am not asking whether it matters or not... Clearly the USA is full of those people, if it did'nt matter then I'm sure people would not have it on their driving licence. Thanks for your first part of the answer, it was very helpful.

HI all,
I am the foreign fiance living in the UK, I have my Interview in a few weeks.
Now assuming after my interview goes well I will be given a certain amount of time to move to the US (can anyone clarify this) and then I have 90 days upon arrival to marry my fiance in the US. Now, I would like to change my first name. Is this possible during the Adjustment of Status or does it have to be done afterwards. Also during this AOS process, where do you describe your ethnic background ?
Thank you for any help in advance.
Received Voter Registration form after DMV visit
in General Immigration-Related Discussion

Hi,
I am a LPR and while waiting for my conditions to be removed I had to make a visit to a WA DMV to renew my driver licence. I specifically recall being asked the question of voting and specifically remember telling the clerk that I was not a U.S citizen. This was in May and in November I received a mailing ballot for the county where my address is registered. The form says one needs to be a U.S citizen to vote and frankly I am pretty scared of the ramifications of this, unwanted form. I have certainly not filled this in and had no intention of voting. How on earth would/could one get this rectified??
