  1. Hello everyone,

I am a US citizen and would like to have my Mother and Brother visit me here in the US from Tunisia what would be the fastest way, BTW my brother works for an accounting company and my Mother is almost 60 years old and taking care of my dad and family things all together...

a while back my brother applied for a B1/B2 visa and got denied and was never given the reason for his denial.. So I  wanted to try again but have my Mom be with him just to have them understand that he has no interest in over staying in the US because he has ties back home and coming to help my mom during her flights etc...

any advice   would be greatly appreciated.

  2. You shouldnt wait any more. What is the email that you provided to the NVC? Go check your email there should be an "Interview Letter (P4)" This will have your case number and bar code at the top. The P4 also has the date and time of your interview. If you have not received this letter to your email that you have provided to the NVC you must immediately contact the NVC and ask the following:

    • What is the status of your case
    • Can you please have a new copy of the "Interview Letter P4" emailed to you (and make sure you give them the right email)
    • Make sure you know the date of your interview
    • Know what documents you are required to bring.

Make sure you check your email everyday after calling them. Youll need to gather a few documents for your interview.

  3. congratulation for passing to the next step :dancin5hr.gif and just letting you know it is not gonna take the same amount of time as the uscis but it is a little complicated all you have to do is to be careful with your documents and fees that you need to pay

first of all the national visa center (nvc) will contact you or email you what to do next ... and here what you need to do

***make sure you have all your documents translated to english

***birth certificate available and translated (because tunisian birth cert take 3 months so you need to get it just after they contact you)

*** police report available and translated (the same you could get it in 1 or 2 weeks so you could go and apply for one...)

***marriage contract need to be original and translated

that's the important part then it comes the ds3032 and the ds230 ..those documents you need to file and sign them when they email them to you because they include a bar code so be careful don't download anything from the internet and mail it,,, just the one that they will email it to you

be patient and say were getting close everyday for the big day and INCHALLAH everything will goes great

don't forget it is a game of time

    and pray pray pray

    good luck for you both

my interview is Thursday next week please pray for me

  4. hi guys ,,

it is been 2 weeks after i got an email saying that my case is complete and all i need to do is waiting for an interview date !!

so the first week passed and nothing received on my email so we decided to call the NVC to check what is going on with our case ....

all what they said that it takes 2 to 4 weeks to schedule your interview ..offffffffffffffffffffffffffff such a waist and slow process

and the thing is that the website CEAC still saying what that means?

    U.S. Department of State

    IMMIGRANT VISA APPLICATION
    At NVC
when the status will be changed from AT NVC?
When can expect to get an interview date ?
how long does it take normally ?
what documents should i bring with me to the interview?
  5. yesterday i get an email from the nvc and that's what it say

and in the bottom of the PDF there is what we need to fix ..

we get really confused so we decided to call them and they said: that they complete reviewing the case and all we need to do is correct the following line and bring the forms that need to get fixed to the interview ..

my question is when are they going to schedule my interview date?

anybody experienced something like that,, i mean with a checklist during the interview ?

    ______F - FINANCIAL EVIDENCE:______________________________________

NVC has completed the review of this case. However, our review of the

I-864, I-864EZ, I-864W or I-864A (if applicable) Affidavit of Support form

and supporting documents that you have submitted indicates that there is

    still some missing documentation.

We are sending you the attached checklist, which indicates which

documents are still missing. You should obtain these documents and

forward them to the visa applicant so they may be presented at the final

interview. The applicant must present all required forms and documents,

including the missing items to the Consular officer at the visa interview.

Please pay specific attention to questions marked in the attached I-864,

    I-864EZ, I-864W or I-864A checklist.

Failure to present the missing items indicated and/or to make the

necessary corrections at the visa interview could result in a denial or delay

in obtaining a visa for the sponsored applicant.

If you need a new I-864 form, please visit the Department of State website

at the following address: www.ImmigrantVisas.state.gov and read the

Affidavit of Support (I-864) instructions. From there you can fill out the

form online and print it to send to the visa applicant for the interview.

You will be notified when an interview has been set. Do not contact

post regarding your interview date until you have been notified
