  1. Greencard was approved!

  2. Visa, Wedding, AOS and EAD filed, EAD received… things go by so much more smoothly now that everything is on this side of the pond

  3. Ok - so our case was never in "administrative processing" it just never arrived… and I mean never arrived. As Paris lost our file, the State Department approved us to send scanned copies of the original to Tunis. Interview was yesterday, approved!

  4. Bad news - Hedi didn't even get to interview, they just took his documents and went straight to Administrative Processing. Was not expecting that and am pretty upset. I hope it gets resolved quickly and doesn't mean another few months of waiting...

  5. Rather nervous, only a few hours to go. I'll wake up and know more about how his interview went. I'm trying not to get jealous of all those who filed and got approved within a few months, as we are coming close to our year, just hoping and praying that his visa will finally be approved. Rabi inshallah.

  7. Hey, do all the documents needed for the interview need to be translated (police records, passport, etc.)? Or do they have to be in Arabic/French, or one or the other?

  8. Our case finally arrived in Tunis! Almost five months after our NOA2 this is finally moving forward! Alhamdoulelah I am beyond happy right now

  9. Congratulations, all the best!

  10. A positive step forward in the new year! The U.S. Consulate in Tunis finally emailed the U.S. Consulate in Paris to request a transfer of our case. Hopefully the next step is applying for the DS-160 online!

  11. Hey Brooke, congratulations on getting the visa approved! I hope you don't mind if ask you a few questions. At what point did you have to gather financial information together (did they need proof of employment and tax records for last year?) And Hedi wants to know what language Ahmed used for the interview. Hopefully everything will be smooth for us. Best, Colleen

hello! we gathered information for the i-134 after the case was received by the embassy. i was not employed at the time, so i had a co-sponsor fill out a i-134 in addition to my own. on mine, i filled out how much $ i had in the bank. my co-sponsor did the same, and she got a letter of employment from her boss stating that she worked there and how much she made. she also sent me her tax returns (but im not sure they needed that.) i had to get a report from my bank, a letter of good s...

well i was really really stupid, when i sent in the i129f form i didnt know there was anything else to send in! i didnt see any instructions for the i129f, and 7 months of waiting, they finally sent a rfe (but they actually sent a change of address form), and it described everything that was missing from the instructions, the g325a forms, the photos, the birth certificate, etc, and i was soooo shocked! i was having a panic attack because i thought it meant they rejected our applicatio...

I'm sorry about the wait time. I did a lot of research before we filed, but any wait is terrible. I am hoping you will get a response soon. We are at the RFE stage - we've mailed the required information to the lawyer, but it will take a few days before it arrives, and then he has to send everything to the California Processing Center. I'm hoping that we will get the RFE reply by the end of the month, and hopefully not two RFE's... I'll keep you two in my thoughts as well.

  14. Omg our RFE was because I filled out the wrong form for Biographical information! I need to fill out an IDENTICAL form (G-325A instead of G-325) with the SAME information so they can approve this stupid visa. And to think I was prepared to print out 1,000 photos proving we know each other and are in a valid relationship. I don't know whether to laugh or cry.

  15. Our status on the USCIS website changed from "initial review" to "Request for Evidence" last Friday... nervously waiting for the letter that will tell us what they want
