Can someone please tell me if this are the following are the only forms(1-485, G325A, 1-765, 1-131 and 1-864) we need? we need after getting married on K1 visa. We really don't want to hire a lawyer which was a mistake we did last time.

Thanks Slowlyman for posting the above questions as i have the same questions? can some of you all help me please? do we have to file for AOS immediately after we get married? and the above forms we only need for AOS? I will hate to pay a lawyer if we can just do it ourselves.

My fiancé will be coming to U.S.A next month. Can someone please tell us what we need to do next. We will be getting married two weeks after arrival,however, we do not know what forms we need in-order to proceed? Please help?

Hello VJ family,

I fiance received his a packaged from the American Embassy in Austria and it stated that he should first complete the form DS230 and submit it to them as soon as possible. We mailed them the completed form with the letter stating that we had all the necessary documents we need for his interview.

My question is: do he have to mail the form DS-156 and DS-156k? also, how long does it take to get an interview date with the embassy in Austria?

We are so confused please help.

Im still waiting for my NO2 since 05/29/13 and I am so worry. I have been looking at igors list and have not seen RFE from VSC being approved in a while. Almost approaching 60 days mark and we are still waiting. I am just losing my mine

Audra sorry that you are feeling this way. We are in the same boat. I am a Late October filer and we received RFE on 04/24/2013 for intent to marry, I gave my lawyer the documents on 05/07/2013 and could you imagine that lady never mailed the document to VSC until when i informed her that I need evidence showing that she mail my document to VSC. Long story short VSC received our RFE on 05/29/2013 and we are still waiting for our NOA2. Is ok to vent, but hang in there our day is coming. I am so depressed and sad, can't understand why this is taking so long.

It takes at least 3 weeks for the transcript to arrive. My friends Transcript took 17 days before she received it.

I am sorry for bothering VJ family. I saw that you all are very knowledgeable in this immigration process. I am the petitioner filling for my fiancé in Austria, Vienna. My case is currently being process at the VSC, it was filed on 10/24/2012 and received a RFE on 04/24/2013. The evidence was received on 05/29/2013( because my lawyer send it late to VSC) I called USCIS office on 06/05/2013 to inquire about my case and i was told to wait for at least 60 days. This wait is killing me and is affecting me mentally, I cried daily and i don't know what to do. Can someone please give me any advice.

Hello VJ family, I just found out that my lawyer's secretary never mailed my RFE that was summited in her office on 05/7. I showed up today at her office unexpectedly and she was surprise to see me, I informed her that I need my package tracking number because my case status hasn't change. Kathy(secretary)gave me a document showing a tracking number dated 4/29/2013. This tracking number was obviously not mine. I called Kathy to see when she would be able to provide me the correct date that she mailed off my documents and she said by the end of the day today- 5/28/2013. My concern is that I gathered everything that I needed in order for my documents to be mailed out by your office only to be misguided by your secretary. I understand the number of cases that your office has to work with, however, if your secretary was not able to mail it out on time, she should have informed me and I would have taken care of it myself. I need to know when my documents were sent off because not being able to send this information off to my congressman has affected me physically, mentally, and emotionally. I honestly believe that I have been getting the run around by your secretary. I feel as if she has lied to me about mailing off the documents. I need to know what is going on with my case immediately. I will be waiting for your response to this email.

Yes you can tract your money order (is trackable). If I was you I will only buy them from a bank or grocery store( Publix, Walmart etc).

Hello VJ family, I was wondering if anyone summited a RFE to USCIS and the information wasn't updated on their website. I so worried and frustrated because my attorney (LOSER) received RFE(intent to marry) and if informed me that she mailed it to them on 05/10..... Still now my case status is the same. I called my attorney yesterday and she stated that she will get back with me but never heard from her. My question is :

- Do USCIS changed case status once they received RFE?

- how long will it take to receive my NOA2 after i they received my RFE?

Your assistance in this matter is highly appreciated.

It happened to me as well and I had to refile all over again with my attorney advise. So my thoughts to you is to refile and follow the instructions on VJ and USCIS web site. I don't think you need a lawyer because it is a waste of money and time. I regret hiring my lawyer.

Well Gracevi, I was in the same boat. We sent them the form and payment only and they denied our petition outright. We had to file all over again. I am sorry but it happened to me.

That is great news Masha. My lawyer stated that she mailed the requested document on 05/10/2013, I wonder if she was telling me the truth. This is the worst situations i have ever encounter.

I did call USCIS on 05/19/2013 and the representative told me that i have to wait for 60 days to get updates on my case, which i think was Ludacris.

I received a RFE from USCIS ( intent to marry )on April 22 and my lawyer send them package on May 10. How do I know if Uscis receives the package? Also, how long will I get I NOA2? Someone please help answer this question.
