Finally my hubby visa was issued!! His case status changed to issued on Monday and yesterday he received his package. He will arrive here Friday!!. I want to thank the whole VJ family without you guys this process would've been even harder. Now my family is complete and we can move on to the next chapter of our lives. I wish everyone a fast and happy journey.

Finally!! Status changed to issued Monday and yesterday hubby received his package. I'm so excited!! Hubby arrive Friday the 23rd. I can't wait to see our lil one face when he see his dad.

My husband had his interview on March 14th. We was in ap for three weeks. I emailed them and they rssponded that my hubby visa would be printed within 5-10 business days. On wednesday May 9th it switched to ready. Im frustrated as hell. I emailed and they told me that its in ap. Wth!! My status still says ready. Smh

In jamaica now with hubby. He had his interview on the 13th. Status still says AP. I was hoping he could fly back with me and our son but after reading everyone post I guess not. Well atleast he was approved.

wow! this is deep. I feel ur pain. what is the DS-230 for? i know the DS-260 for IV for but DS- 230? what's that's suppose to be?

The Ds 230 is the old paper version of the DS260 that we submit online now.

Why did you email ds 230 in order to get an interview...Didnt NVC and embassy schedule your appt. automatically arent you doing a CR 1 visa....I have only seen K1 visa people email ds230 maybe thats the confusion and cause for mix up..You know these govt.ppl are stupid and get confused easily

Im doing an IR1 and its an expedite xase but for some strang reason The embassy requested it before they would give my husband a interview date.. lol i agree they do get confused easily.

GM VJ Fam just an update. It took me a few days to feel up to writing this and I'm still sad. My husband went for his interview in Kingston on Feb 7th. His appointment was at 9:30 am and he didn't leave til around 2 pm. Here's the kicker..... He was rescheduled for March 14th because they said he didn't have his DS-230 form. Notice the form they requested wasn't the DS-260. The craziest part is...We already submitted all paperwork, evidence, and paid the bills online. Plus, I emailed the Kingston Embassy the DS-230 back in January for them to give my husband a interview date. My husband also had copies of all the paperwork and evidence submitted including the DS-260 that was submitted online. SMH.. I emailed the Embassy and their response was that they are not used to expedited cases where the paperwork is submitted online maybe the officer didn't check. What!? What type of response is that? My husband was rescheduled for a whole month later because of

Just found out my wife has ovarian cysts that will require surgery.

She's in the Philippines and I'm from the US.

Would her situation qualify for an expedition for her and her daughter (5years old)

Also, I don't meet the Income requirements but do have a wealthy cosponsor.

Put your expedite request in. I did an expeidte during the I-130 process ( it was approved) I did the same for NVC and it was approved. My expedite was for my upcoming hernia surgery. Another friend of mine also did a expedite request and it was also approved do to medical. Do the request and it will be approved. If you call and it is denied put in another one, give it a week and it should be approved. I'm only saying what I experienced. Good Luck

I filed as single for all the years that my husband was in Jamaica and I was here since he has never been to this country and didn't have a ssn#. I hope that won't come back and haunt me.

I file head of household. I called a verified that I could before doing so. Since my husband has never been in the U.S. And I have dependents I file head of household.

My fiance had his interview at the Jamaica embassy this month. I too was concerned about not being there. But he said it went smoothly, was only asked three questions. All of our paperwork was in order. THe CO didnt asked if I was there. He is awaiting the visa via DHL.

I was just wondering about this. My husband interview is on the 7th of February and I'm unable to attend. I'm glad you responded to this post. I feel much better.

But I didn't use 1040ez. I thought if you filed 1040 you are suppose to use total income and when you file 1040ez you have to use adjusted gross income.

Yea I re read your post. Im not sure about the 1040.

I requested an expedite on 12/23/12 and received an email on 1/3/14 that it was accepted by the embassy. My question is for those that might have expedited on the NVC stage. How soon did you get an interview date?

My expedite was approved on Jan 10 and My hubby received his interview date today

Saylin I need your help. I was looking at my IRS return transcript and there I see both adjusted gross and total income, which one do I use? I also read form 1040 not 1040ez on transcript so I am guessing total income, please correct me if I am wrong. Thank you.

You are suppose to use adjusted income
