    Orlando checking in....

Applied Aug. 30th.  At this point, no word on biometrics, either way and no other updates.  Radio silence since application.

Congratulations to the ones that moved forward and good luck to those in my boat that something happens soon.

    Happy New Year to all!

Congratulations! filed on Aug 18th and also from Orlando.. still no update except for the receipt notice.. 😔

  2. My parents had their visa interview in the philippines on 10-16 and the consul said that they are approved, took their passport and was told that passport will be deliver within 5 days, i checked their visa status today and its under ADMINISTRATIVE PROCESSING and it was last updated on 10-16 which is their interview day.

Consul didnt ask for any pending requirements needed when they left.. Im just wondering if anyone had experience the same thing and if this a normal thing?

  3. well you have a month, why not have a small wedding with your family since they missed the first one, Im sure those other guys are right about the ceNOmar being ok though, But if it was me, I would just get a rev and get married in Pinas for your family, you could probably get the CEMAR with just the signed marriage liscense, and not the official NSO certificate, I think NSO cert is 15 days waiting, but CEMAR should only be 1 day as my wife tells it, in manila anyway

I appreciate your suggestion but just getting a marriage license here will take like around 3-4 weeks already and my husband cannot just go here and leave his work.

  4. How long before your interview? if i had time I would just take the marriage cert from USA to NSO and get an NSO cert also, Im guessing they will do that, then turn around and apply the CEMAR same day you pick up the marriage cert

Its not until next month. I tried doing that before but NSO won't accept it they said that its out of their jurisdiction and that we should file it to the nearest consulate.

  5. YUP!! That is EXACTLY what I am saying. Make sure you have it for the interview

Thanks! that is actually my plan, I'm planning to bring mine and my husband's CENOMAR just to prove to them that both of us is still on a SINGLE status here in MANILA. just thinking any precautions that we can do. thanks again for your input! I know someone who had the same experience as mine and she got no problem with her interview, i just thought that its better to be ready since i still have time to prepare. Thanks again!

  6. No, you are not getting me. You NEED a CENOMAR for the interview. You may not of recorded your marriage, and it will not be recorded with NSO... but that means NOTHING. Do as you please, but if you do NOT have the CENOMAR for the interview EXPECT a 221g and delays.

So you mean that I still need to bring my cenomar even if it says NO MARRIAGE? please don't get me wrong I'm just trying to say some fact..

  7. "love to" ??? Follow the embassy instructions letter! You will need an NSO birth certificate and the NSO CENOMAR.... expect a 221g and weeks of delay if you do not have everything required by the embassy.

Your situation is not common (yet not anything special either) and you will not, easily, find others that have done as you have done... but I do know of others that have gotten married outside the Philippines and completed their immigrant visa at USEM.

    .. horse to water.

I dont think you're getting my point. even if i request one from NSO there is nothing to request because they don't have any records of it.. believe me I tried but they cannot give me one since its not record here in Manila.

  8. That may be true for NVC but it is not true for the embassy, make sure to bring a CENOMAR, and in your case it will be a CENOMAR, but you have your marriage certificate from the U.S. so all will be fine.

Follow the embassy instructions letter. http://photos.state.gov/libraries/manila/1178798/feb2015/IV%20Applicant%20Interview%20Preparation%20Instructions%20-%20English%20_February%202015_.pdf

I would love to bring one if I have one. again, I don't have any nso issued document (even MC) since marriage is out of NSO's jurisdiction. The only one that I have is my MC from the US and this is why I am asking those people who had the same experience as mine.

I am very much aware of the do's and don'ts of this immigration process, but this is a special case since marriage took place in the US and that is why I am seeking advice from the people who did the same thing.

  9. Hi Guys,

I'm preparing for my upcoming interview in Manila, i hope anyone can help me. Me and my husband got married in the US and didn't file for report of marriage in our nearest consulate. When I called NVC they said that a CENOMAR/CEMAR (certificate of marriage) is not one of my requirement since the marriage didn't take place in Manila. Now I'm just curious because on the interview day the usually ask for CENOMAR/CEMAR and I'm afraid that I won't be able to present one just in case they asked me too since my local NSO office cannot issue me one because again marriage didn't take place in Manila.

So for those who is also from Philippines and got married in the US and already done with their interview, can you please share your experience with me? TIA

  10. Why didn't you ask the person you heard this from?

Nothing about the immigration process is tax deductible.

You don't have to be rude you know? And first of all, if this is a first hand information, and I know someone who really experienced it, I wouldn't be asking this question in this forum. It's all hearsay that is why I'm confirming it with THOSE people who have knowledge about it. So if you don't know anything about my question, better keep it to yourself man!

  11. The nvc lady told me that it also depends on the slots available in the embassy. i have observed that people who got ILs today are mostly from the philippines.

Yup that is also true.. usually Philippines release their IL a little late than the other countries. Its only this month that they were the first to release the IL.. so just wait for your consulate to finish your schedule guys..
