Hello, Im a new US citizen, I derived my citizenship through my parents. I only stayed in the US for 2 months and have gone back to the philippines for schooling. My question is, do I need to re-aquire my filipino citizenship? or did I retain it? Im 17 years old. I stayed in the US, March 26- June 1. thank you

Since you a re under the age of 18, you didn't naturalize. You acquired citizenship through your parent(s) when they naturalized.

Once you have your passport, you can leave the US without penalty for any length of time. US citizens are required to file taxes no matter where in the world they reside.

Hey, Im a naturalized US citizen, 17 years old, just arrived in the US last march 26, 2013. If ur wondering I was covered by the CCPA. but I want to go back to the philippines to finish studies. It may take 4 years for me to go back. I will leave in june. Will this affect my citizenship?
