Sorry I have not been here,I took off to help my mother with my stepfather,he has diabetes and he had heart failure and passed out in the bathroom at their home and broke his femur......I would go and stay with him so that my mother could go to work sometimes.But I am back now....how is everyone.....any news for Melissa???

I am 34 and Lupe is 32.No biggie there......my brother is 32 and his wife is 43 and they have been married for 8 years.We have been married since 7/5/02.

Sorry I have not been able to post but we had to pack up 50 boxes worth of files so they could go to offsite storage and it has taken the last two days to do this.But its done and I really do smell right now from running around here all day..But I promise I will shower again this afternoon when I get home..

Happy to see you guys made it back Benita...How is everyone doing??He still does not have is SS card.He went to the office and they said it would be 7 more days before he received it.So he will get it soon.Did my taxes and paid all the utilities up to $0 balance.....which was such a big relief.Paid my car payment early this month,so we are good right now financially......Lupe will go back to work as soon as the card arrives...he has a position open for him but they just need the number.Melissa I hope you receive good news from the Advisory Opinion....I just know Javier will get to come home.Hang in there Marta you will be reunited soon with your husband....God bless everyone and have a great day...I will be in and out today...gotta catch up on some work...this is for all the Homeskillets...

I watched I think it was MSNBC this weekend and they were doing a story about like online predators that would prey on children.Well they set up a house and the men thought they were talking to 10,11,and 12 year old children and thought they were going to this house to meet them for....you know.Well the police had set up next door and I believe by the end of the sting they had arrested like 50 something people.ONE OF THOSE ARRESTED WORKED FOR DHS!!!!!!!!! IS THAT CRAZY OR WHAT???tHEY DO THESE EXTENSIVE BACKGROUND CHECKS ON PEOPLE WANTING TO COME TO THE US AND MAKE THEM GO THROUGH HELL AND LOOK AT WHAT ONE OF THEIR OWN WAS CAUGHT DOING.HE WAS GOING TO THE HOUSE TO MEET WITH A MINOR CHILD.........ARGHHHGHHHHH..........

Lupe is back from the SS office and he got a letter from them saying he will receive his card in 7 days....Is everyone having a great Friday??

Hiiii Ladies...My husband just called me at work and said the SS office called him and told him to com eto the office to sign his application beacuse they have the info from immigration now to go ahead and process his number.....woooohoooooooooo

We were approve din Mexico and it took ours 4 months to be approved and then another 2 months before he had his final appt and came home.

Unfortunately I did not find VJ or I2US till after I had a lawyer do my I-601.It costs me $2000.Our waiver was approved through Mexico but I think it still would have been approved even if I did everything myself.$7000 is just crazy

mnmex....we actually received two welcome letters in the mail a few days apart....they both said the same thing.. still dont have the social card yet

My husband just got back from SS office and they told him that immigration had not informed them that they can issue him a SS card yet.I am going to party the day everyone on this forum gets their husband's back....till then...I will wait with you.
