  1. I called USCIS today to make a Service Request on "Approaching Regulatory Time Frame"(ARTF). It's been over 75 days, and my husband really needs to work I was told should hear something by 7/22. I hope it gets approved way before then.

  2. Well, I have called a couple times because I earnestly need to work! I hope I do receive the notification within a few days, like I was assured by USCIS. I'm not particular about my interview now since I got 3 months left in the 6 month timeframe for AOS....I just so need my EAD like yesterday!

Yeah I'll be calling if we don't get ours too. We actually were hoping we were going to get the notice for the EAD first. I really hope it gets approved this week too. My husband is feeling like s*** not being able to work, and really it would really help if he could.

  3. I woke up today expecting to get a notice for the approval of my husbands EAD, but got this one instead. I wasn't expecting this at all since our case was in acceptance since April 24th.

On July 1, 2014, we mailed you an appointment notice for an interview for August 4, 2014. Please follow the instructions on the notice. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

Do you think they will still send the EAD combo card??

  4. Hi. My name is Dylan, I am 23. I have been spent two years in Mexico living in exile with my fiance. We were ecstatic the day when DOMA got repealed that I picked up my things and came to live with my mom to search for work. I finally got a job at Amazon.com, and filed the i-129f right away. I recently lost the job this week, and I just got off the phone with NVC, and my case just got there. I have a job interview today, but I am very well I am going to need a joint sponser. I used this site to file the i-129f, and I thank you for all your help. But I just really need to know what I need. Besides this year I haven't made enough to have to file taxes, and I am really stuck, and nervous because losing this job couldn't have come at a worse time. I am going to set the interview for late february, for Juarez. I just really would appreciate some advice because I am feeling so lost. Hopefully the interview goes well today.

    Thank you

    Dylan

I got the job! I am a little relieved, but there is still a long way ahead. =)

  5. Thank you for your response. I already have received my NOA-2, and my case is at the National Visa Center now. I have heard lawyers don't take cases this far along. I'm not worried at all about anything but the i-134. All of my family has been to Mexico, and have been close since the beginning so I have a lot of evidence. . I will start looking for a cosponser now. I will start researching the taxes thing, because I am clueless on that. But I will make sure I file this years taxes before I go to Juarez.

  7. I was told by an Immigration Attorney as long as you are married in a state/and or country where the marrige is legal, you will be able to get married, you shouldn't be denied for living in a state that doesn't have marriage equality, as far as immigration goes. If you are going for the K-1 visa I would state that you will get married in one of the 13 states that have marriage equality in your letter of intent.
