Hello another October filer here
9/25/13 - AOS package mailed (EAD, AP included)
10/6/13 - Email from USCIS package received
10/9/13 - Hard copies received
I didn't know the National Benefits Center is right here in Lee's Summit, MO (I live in Kansas City, MO). . . to bad that won't make my case go faster. I'll be waiting patiently for my biometrics appt letter.

I ran into the same issue. I live in Missouri which requires a social security number so I went to Kansas and got married. I would suggest you try going to another state, I doubt they question where you got married. I applied for my husband social security card 8/26 (I think I went to early he arrived to the states 8/14), I received a letter 9/30 stating they needed to verify some paperwork and if everything is ok I'll receive his ssc in 4 weeks, but now I'm wondering with the shutdown if that will be even longer.

Mduenas I don't know the date the consulate received my packet. After NVC told me they sent it to the consulate on 5/21 I waited about a week and did like MrTee suggested and began calling the visa specialist for my interview date. On June 6th I received my interview date (7/17) from the visa specialist. Hope this helps and good luck.

My fiance received packet 4 and I also received a copy in the mail. I was kinda surprised I didn't expect to receive the packet also. It had the blue appt. letter and all the documents you need to bring. I didn't get a copy of the DS-156 but I am assuming that is because you need to go online and fill it out. My interview is 2 weeks from today

Dominican Republic: Bringing over children on follow to join
in Bringing Family Members of Permanent Residents to America

For the 1 yr time limit is that 1 yr to file the follow to join paperwork or do the kids need to be actually issued a visa by the 1 yr deadline? I'm in the process of bringing my husband's children. His visa was issued 7/25/13, I mailed the follow to join paperwork 5/5/14.
