If you've been married for at least two years on the day you PoE then you will receive an unconditional ten year green card. You should travel with a certified copy of your marriage certificate, and remind CBP of this fact when they process you at Secondary.
Obviously, do not PoE before the 14th.
Hi, is there any government link or website that supports this plz? i know its true cos am a beneficiary but i have tried digging to get a site that support this but havent been able to find one.
can anyone help
-
My status changed to ''optimized'' on 10/31/2014 and also ''card production ...'' began is that update possible all in one day??? as timeliness I saw here show ''optimized'' dates are different from ''card production began . . .'' dates

Not curse words and not cursing you. But if you ever make it here you will learn the difference some day. Just like frontloading.
IN RESPONSE TO THE BOLDED . . . YOU DONT KNOW ME SO I WILL HUSH AND NOT RESPOND!!!
LOL ur so typical u cursed take or leave!!!!! i dont care how many Methuselah years you CLAIMED
to have resided in the country.
-
I have not asked for your respect and neither do I respect your attitude.
Someone had to catch you on your descend and bring you back to solid ground of reality of what transpired in this thread.
BUT I THOUGHT YOU WERE OUTTA OF THIS THREAD IN 4TH PAGE?????

Spare me with the face saving village mentality BS and pretense and buy yourself a load of humility and teachability at the store.
Do whatever you want to but do not insult the members here for your own inability to comprehend plain English.
Don't bite the hand that helps you.
AT NO TIME HAVE I INSULTED OR USE CURSE WORDS LIKE YOU!!!
AM MUCH MORE CIVIL AND OPEN TO CONVERSATIONS THAT WILL HELP ALL

the only "experienced" lad on VJ who uses curse words!!!!!
you dont hear dweels and the others use words like this

That is absolutely ridiculous. You know exactly what you have said and we all can read every single post of yours.
Why do you want to back paddle and lie about your original confusion ?
You didn't even know that front loading was done at the initial petition and called front loading sending evidence at the
embassy stage. Now you claim you knew all about it already. Do you think you are dealing with stupid people here ?
Halfway through the thread you realized thanks to EXPERIENCED members what frontloading is.
We told you as one voice to take evidence to the embassy for your interview.
There has been no bone of contention about us telling you to bring your evidence to the embassy, the only contention came from you
by your constant attitude. I am seriously wondering about your mental stability.
We all have tried to help you to make your interview successful and all you do is confuse yourself with every comment.
Pissing people off with your cocky attitude is a good way to not get further help when you really need it.
Enough is enough. Knock it off. Your arrogance is just plain insulting.
You got THAT now ?
respect is reciprocal and i refuse to respond to the bolded.
it shows how low you have descended!

You might be just fine and be issued the visa with no issues... Not saying it is a guaranteed denial... Fr one thing, We have no idea if your case has any "red flags" or other issues... You may be successful without supplying anythng, but there is certainly a higher chance you will have issues by not front loading than if you had supplied them evidence beforehand.
However, for applicants starting the process through Lagos and reading this, I certainly hope they will heed the astute advice of many of the members here and send in relationship evidence with the initial petition, aka "FRONTLOAD" to maximize their chances of a successful outcome.
Keep us posted either way... VJ can also provide great night into the re-affirm process and 212g requests if need be...
alot of people seem to be getting me wrong
for Emphasis purpose I am,a strong supporter of frontloading at the beginning of petition I,repeat beginning of petition vis-a-vis uscis/nvc
my question was if additional evidence has come up after the case has been sent to embassy does one, need to still send evidence or carry Along to interview and that has been the bone of contention as there hasn't been a consensus coming from those we call experienced on VJ
you get now?
-
Those four categories are as valid today as they were 9 years ago, when I first heard them. No, Casablanca is not on par with Lagos but is on the high side of high. Accra, is about on par with Lagos now though. Anybody who wishes to believe Lagos isn't the highest of the high in terms of the visa fraud attempts dealt with, both in numbers and percentages, is misinformed, and cruising for a rude awakening. I have no further information to offer the OP, except to say, "Good luck."
In my view, you asked repeatedly, and refused to accept the answers given by anybody. Good luck to you.
am glad you finally wished me luck!!!!
there wil only be rude awakening for those who wish people same and yes I will come back in two weeks with a review for all to see.
-
When we have divergent views, we discuss them. When you are the one asking the questions, you listen to the answers you get from those with far more experience than you.
You are not suggesting front-loading. That's done in the "front" of the process. What you are suggesting is "back-loading". From all my experience, I would suggest you carry the evidence to the interview. You can mail it if you like. Nobody is stopping you. Go for it. What I'm telling you is not to count on the evidence even getting added to your file, much less being looked at or considered.
like I said before 80% of me wouldn't send evidence directly to the consulate I never at anytime said,I was gonna send I,only asked?
-
No, that is classified.
You are in for a rude awakening in 2 weeks.
what's the rude awakening gonna be?
-
You would have to assume that each Consulate had a similar cross section of applications to handle.
2 classic example of differences, Philippines it is not unusual for the US applicant to be male and older, North Africa the applicant is likely to be Female and older.
and what is the ratios as per benchmark compared to lagod
-
Seriously...what are you smoking ? This is a thread from the twilight zone.
am smoking wisdom and logical reasoning
look at it this way keep an open mind and be objective
it is generally believed that Lagos is one of the most difficult consulates in the world right?
I understand there is a database where we can correlate number of applicants with number of issued, denied, refused or ap cases right?
with particular emphasis to the IR1/CR1 visa do we have figures to back this claim up while also using same parameters to benchmark vwp countries, Asia and middle east
lets see which embassy turns out worst
-
As a well respected Immigration Lawyer on another board said there are 4 categories of Consulate for Fraud
Low
Medium
High
Lagos
He had flat fees for the first 3, but not Lagos.
As for the amount of evidence and when to submit is, it does depend on the factors of the individual case. Many you see on VJ fall into the atypical category.
can you kindly explain what "a typical" category entails
-
yes k-1s have a harder time with proving bonafide relationship
any specifics as to IR1/CR1 filers.
anyone with statistics on the figures of those who applied under this category in past years to those who got it so we can really debunk this issue of lagos embassy been a high fraud consulate?
-
I might regret posting this, but I know someone who was a CO at Lagos (and at other consulates too, high fraud and lower fraud), and since I considered going that career route, I had lunch with her, discussing what it's like to be a CO.
She confirms Lagos is the worst in terms of scammers, and denials.
But relevant to VJ people, YES, please front load, especially K-1's, as the odds are not in your favor for K-1's.
yes k-1s have a harder time with proving bonafide relationship
-
Post the comment. These posters you mentioned did NOT say to send evidence to the embassy.
Let us clarify one thing here:
When you say SEND it to the embassy it implies sending it through the mail or email as an attachment.
If you interpret "sending" is the same as hand carrying on the day of interview then of course you can. That is called
bringing or carrying not sending.
can dweels and amy confirm their stand.
Would you rather send( which was what i meant) more evidence by mail to embassy after ur case has been closed by Nvc?
-
I did not say that you can frontload the future.
I detect comprehension problems.
Any ONGOING relationship evidence, like visits, more photos and all communication that happen after your initial USCIS and NVC
submission, you hand carry (not send) to the embassy on the day of your interview in hopes that the CO will accept it,
sometimes they do and sometimes they don't, there is no rigid 'procedure' you think will work for you.
Beware, not all men get to eat after work even though they should, because the bread is not in their own hand. It is given to them
or not given, depending if the boss liked your completed work.
do u have direct experience of how it went during your time as your timeline shows "denied"
the smiley of you hitting my head really cracked me up. Goood job.
There is God who always gives those who have worked!
-
So you are telling people to just "Meet requirements". Yet the I-130 instructions clearly say.
What Documents Do You Need to Prove FamilyRelationship?NOTE:In addition to the required documentationlisted above, you should submit one or more of thefollowing types of documentation that may evidencethe bona fides of your marriage;Documentation showing joint ownership or property; orA lease showing joint tenancy of a common residence;orDocumentation showing co-mingling of financialresources; orBirth certificate(s) of child(ren) born to you, thepetitioner, and your spouse together; orAffidavits sworn to or affirmed by third parties havingpersonal knowledge of the bona fides of the maritalrelationship. (Each affidavit must contain the full nameand address, date and place of birth of the personmaking the affidavit, his or her relationship to thepetitioner of beneficiary, if any, and completeinformation and details explaining how the personacquired his or her knowledge of your marriage); orAny other relevant documentation to establish thatthere is an ongoing marital unionI bolded the last because this is left up to you to show what you deem to show. As we know the government is slow to update or change. The I-130 form as far as the co-mingling you see is directed more towards couples who live together (ie. before they immigrated or when they are going through removal of conditions). It wasn't targetd towards the new age.
Cuz Wham the internet revolution happened and now we have emails, and chats, and IM's and Skype a whole new world of evidence and fakery.
I don't know where people get you aren't suppose to send anything when that's what USCIS accepts. Sure I know a few Lagos folk who sent NOTHING but a marriage certificate and of course lazy USCIS approved them send them on their way but guess when interview time came they were ALL denied. Sent back reaffirm all but a couple (other issues they had) but still a lost of an additional year.
I know thats not what you want to hear you want sunshine and unicorns. Well This is Lagos. By the way they all prayed and know God.
I believe OP you got plenty of good advice by the best VJ has to offer. Take it with what you want. We await your review June 11th.
you will see!!!
-
I have not seen one comment here where someone stated that you can send relationship evidence by mail to the embassy before an interview.
Where do you get that VJ members advice such ? Show me one comment !
dweels and amysummer read tru second page and first
-
Faith without works is dead. The bolded part is the point of this topic .... have they done all they can do. Questions were
asked, misunderstood and OP seems to seek assurance and soothing rather than facts as he fights against facts.
In your context i VEHEMENTLY DISAGREE WITH YOU!
it is not possible to frontload evidence of future years so if for instance wife has visited twice before marriage and IF case has been completed at nvc and we missed the opportunity to send more stuffs to nvc as many things has happaned in our relationship.
does it mean then that we never "worked"?
INDEED WE HAVE DONE ALL WE NEEDED TO DO AT THE TIME OF FILING AND PRESENTED EVIDENCE WE HAD!
it is only logical and normal that a man eats after he has seemingly done a hard day's work?
-
You may have missed my previous posts ? I don't now how much clearer I can say it.
You can NOT send anything in the mail to the embassy. If you do it will not be accepted. Therefore NO I would never send anything
to the embassy.
Embassies don't accept regular mailings like you send a letter to your auntie ! Security reasons.
Put that out of your mind. Forget it. Focus on your interview. It's too late to 'send' anything.
Should you get refused and your case returned then your petitioner must frontload when re filing, not you !
thank you..
hoping the best and trusting in God who cemented the union will be the best option now!!!!
-
Working for the feds is not the same as working as an adjudicating immigration officer or CO in Lagos.
Lagos has specific instructions and then a sideline of unspoken "requirements" not comparable to the norm.
Meeting application requirements and actually being approved are a night and day different. Apples and oranges.
Your last sentence about 'every embassy is different' is what the advice was about, it was Lagos specific advice until the
watered down "everything is ok don't worry" comments were posted and will distract from the meat of this thread.
are those "unspoken requirements" our imaginations or just a declarative official statement/confession made by an embassy staff
can I apply for a visiting visa after spouse withdrew I-130
