There are many forums on this problem already. I can't post link at this moment but wanted to let u know that the only way my fiance was able to pay was to go to the non immigrant side of the website. Click on apply for k-1 visa. He was already registered prior so used a different email address...once u are signed in u can then add ur information and select k-1 visa. Then "add applicant". If it lets u go to the next stage to select courier u are golden payment for visa is last. Goodluck!

Should be fine. Perhaps once you receive your interview date go back on website and enter it if it allows you too. Bottom line you paid and can prove it at your interview with print out, should be fine.I paid the MRV but don't have an interview date yet, the site let me do it all no hassles ... will this mess me up?

Sorry, I meant the VJ timeline, which you have. It was somebody else I had clicked on and got mixed up with you.
I think maybe you should give them until Monday afternoon or Tuesday to sort their website and then try again. Maybe they are making adjustments over the weekend so parts of it are offline at different times.
Ok finally after trying since the website went live on July 26th, we were able to pay the MRV fee and select courier, no issues. Please note: we were only able to get it to work thru the non-immigrant side, then selecting "continue", after initially signing up a few days ago under "immigrant" side. Perhaps the site is now actually working...amazing. Now onto the next issue as this entire process is anything but smooth. Thanks for your help everyone!!!

My suggestion to anybody that hasn't had a medical and been assigned an interview date is just hold off a bit while they get this running smoothly. There is no need to register or anything until you are maybe two weeks from your interview. If you rush this before necessary, you will be caught in the mess and worse off. Your interview letter will direct you to these instructions. http://photos.state.gov/libraries/unitedkingdom/164203/cons-visa/IV019_fiance_appt_letter.pdf Check back because they might even update that.
Those caught in the middle...well good luck.
Yeah we are caught in the middle. Had the medical on 21st June, didn't pay prior to 26th July, since he was unable to get the number to work. Good times indeed
Thanks for all your help!!!

We get through the first part of the process to "apply for K1 visa", however it won't let us "add applicant". Enter all of the information...name, etc....hit the "create applicant" button and nothing happens.....it won't let you do anything but "reset form" or "close". Is the website STILL not working. This is absolutely frustrating. Why it works for some and not others, I'm not sure, perhaps traffic to the site, it is a Saturday...Suggestions on next step anyone? I did read an earlier post about contacting the consulate. I will attempt this and update you guys with results, if any...

Just paid for the MRV fee online and printed the instruction page (to bring to the interview on friday). The print-out, however, looks anything but official. I'm not sure whether they will look for a 'proper' MRV receipt at the interview or a print-out of the confirmation email with a payment PIN number will suffice. Phoned the call centre and the person I spoke with was ever so useless and had no idea about K1 visas, and told me to refer to the website instead.
Thoughts and experiences, anyone? Thanks!
Please let me know how you were able to pay for the MRV fee online!!!!
My UK fiance created an account on the website, (he can't recall if he hit the "immigrant" or "non immigrant" button, or if he just went to the top right and hit "sign in".
He was able to enter his details (interview date, case number) plus select a courier location, the only option after that was to close the screen. There are no options to edit anything, and just says attend interview.
I noticed the only way to be able to even log into the website now is through the "non-immigrant" button.
He called the call centre line, was on hold for 45 minutes, decided to hang up after that.
His interview is 14th Aug., need to pay the MRV fee, please provide a step by step of how you were able to pay the fee.
Much appreciated! Thanks in advance!

You can usually get a certified birth certificate the same day by applying in person at the borough council office, however you still wouldnt have it in time for your 9am appointment, would be by 3:30pm same day. Depending on which borough you were registered with when you were born. For example below I have pasted a link to Enfield council.
I am not sure if they will accept the short version birth certificate or how lenient they are in this area, hopefully someone else can help you there.
hope that helped a little.

Have you returned all the other forms & did you put a wedding/travel date into your cover letter with the DS2001 form?
Since we were completely ready, we sent all of the required DS forms, along with the cover letter all together before the medical and stated on the cover letter the medical appointment date (June 21st). However, we did not put a wedding/travel date (saw that tip a bit too late), because we are waiting to get the approval to make any definite plans. Appreciate any help with a possible date we will get the interview letter and/or interview. Thanks!

CEAC website updated to "Issued": 15th Aug
Received email from DOS London - released document related to Visa received (DX tracking number and post code were included in this email): 19th Aug
DX tracking status changed from "Booked for Collection From Collection Point": same day
DX tracking status changed form "Booked for Collection From Collection Point (Now Out For Delivery): 20th Aug...to be continued...
