@smily. 45 days for the status to show? Is going to be a year since I submitted my application for the green card and still have not heard anything. I don't even know what to do because my EAD expires August and I haven't applied for a new one yet since I have Been told several times when I Call that my green card will be ready soon. Still waiting and praying it comes through. I got the infamous waiver letter.

Has anyone experience this lately? I tried to check my status on the USCIS website and it says I should contact the NCSC on an 1 800 number. please if anyone had tried to check his/her status recently please let me know. Thanks.

@Nola. Why are u taking it personal. Did some one broke your heart or what? I have two jobs and I never said I wanted anything back from her but I just want to be sure that I am doing the right thing. We are both from the same country and I paid my way here. I paid for the marriage and also paid for the process so stop saying what you don't know. Yes I came in April still have had my green card because my interview was waived and other people that their interview were waived still haven't received their card till date except you were interviewed. Do your research before you start opening your contagious mouth. You are just like the woman I have at home birds of the same feather. If you will allow your own brother to stay with a cheating spouse then I guess our cultures are very different. If you don't have any useful advice to give please kindly stay off my page. Thanks.

@Nola. It seems you do not understand my post very well. She wants us to file together but she said I won't get nothing from it as she already have dependent. My question is if I file separately or decide to file jointly with her which is my best bet. If I file separately will I get anything back since if I file jointly with her I won't get nothing from her according to her. My other question was that if we file jointly will that help in my ROC? Things has not been working well with us in the marriage and we really do not know where we heading right now. She is always threatening to pull her application even though I am still waiting for my conditional green card. I just want to make sure I put all my ducks in a row. So I will appreciate your response to this.

@Teddy B. She said I won't benefit anything if we file jointly because she already has up to 4 dependents and adding me won't change anything so I should just be an addition but nothing will come up. If this does not affect USCIS status someone told me it will be more beneficial to me if I file separately because I am not really making anything much which is below the poverty line.

I have a question and I need urgent response please. If you do not file joint taxes with your spouse will that be use against you when you want to remove condition? Will it be seen as the marriage was not enter in good faith? We having issues and she said she will claim me as a dependent and I won't get nothing so I don't know how the tax is done if it's going to affect ROC I don't mind her claiming it if it makes her better. I just started working like 3 months and is not even above the porverty line. Please I need your advice. To file jointly or separately. Thanks all.

Hi everyone. I got my employment authorization 25th sept 2014. How long is the waiting time to get the green card in the mail? There has been no update on the USCIS website and is like I have been waiting for ages even though is just 4 months now but the good jobs I applied for they kept demanding for permanent residency. Can someone let me know. By the way I arrived on a K1 in April.

Hello VJers, I have been reading on here that you must attend interview to get your 2 yrs temporary green card. How possible is that? Please how many people from Nebraska centre had been interviewed? I live in Virginia and I think the closest USCIS office is in Baltimore has anyone been interview there? I just want to know if it's compulsory or is only for a few people. If it's only for a selected few why are they subjected to it? Hope to get response from you guys. Thanks.

Everywhere I have applied for job they told me I need employment authorization so I have not been working and I don't have a bank account and is really stressing me out knowing full well I should be supporting my wife. The whole stress is putting a strain on us already is hard for her alone taking care of the home. I'm desperate to get my EAD so that I can be able to support the home financially as a man. I can't do anything without the EAD not even a DL. Sometimes I feel like just going back home where I have a life before now.

Thank you jx. I have my social security number already but I was told by the dmv in Virginia to come with my authorization letter to get a DL but I'm still waiting for that to get to me. I am going to discuss the putting my name on those documents and have a joint account with my wife too.

Thank you very much faycel for your response. I was ask to resubmit my birth certificate. The first one I submitted I guess it didn't show everything. So I had not receive any form of doc from them not EAD or AP. @Harpa thanks once again for responding to my message. I actually wanted to say almost 3 months not exactly 3 months. Yes the mail was in the mail box for like 15 days and it took me another 3 days to send it off and it got there in 2 days according to USPS. So that's where I am now.

Thanks Harpa and Bill. I have not receive the EAD yet and we have been married for 4 months now. My wife's job is very demanding and I don't know if she will have the time to accompany me and also she is the only one working right now so my name is not on any document in the house except the marriage certificate because I never thought the interview will be necessary. How can we add my name to the utility bills and when do they normally send the interview dates is it after the EAD has been sent? I live in Virginia. I need more inputs from more people please. The mail was registered and needed to be sign for by a staff before it can be released. Plz I will need advice on what to do now. Can you expedite your EAD? How can someone do that?

Hello guys, please can someone tell me how long it took to get EAD after sending back your RFE? I got an RFE and it was in the mail for 17 days before I saw it. I sent it back 3 days later. How do I know they received it?
