Based on my experience, I was scheduled for the interview on April 17th but I sent them a letter explaining that I would be traveling during that time. I also attached my airplane ticket. A few days later, I received a notice indicating that my interview has been rescheduled to May 1st (one week after my return).

Here is an update. I just went to DMV (in CA) after receivng my greencard. I handed him my expired driver license with new greencard and that's it !!!! I have a temporary driver license with paying no fee.

Now just waiting for a new driver license to arrive..

That means I am approved without interview right...... Just making sure I was screaming out loud for a reason.

How long does it take until I get a new card in mail?

i live in CA. i just went to my local DMV with the extension letter and the notice of limited term driver's license that was sent to me by DMV. they didn't have a problem with the extention letter, luckily, and they issued me a new DL. However, the lady punched hole my license so you can't see the year it expires, which is SEPT 2008. She gave me an interim DL that is printed on paper, took my picture, and said that the new card will arrive within 3 weeks... i'm not sure when my new DL will expire but i'll post it as soon as i get it.

i'm glad it went smoothly but now my DL has a hole in it... anyone else had the same experience???

1..... I am on Removing Condition process right now. My driver license is expired.

I was wondering when I get approved on my Greencard and am eligible to renew my driver license “ Will I need to restart by taking a written and behind-the-wheel tests again” I am in California.

2....... Has anyone had a hard time while holding an invalid ID when you go some places or make a purchase and they ask for a valid Photo ID. Did they reject you? If I bring expired ID and Greencard with notice from Immigration to prove, does it help? would they believe?

I just reserved a comedy show online and they are asking to bring a valid ID….. So I just started to worry if they will kick me out.

I am on Remove of Conditional's process right now. I filed my paperwork in late May'08 and now I am still waiting for approval. My driver license has expired already. I just went to DMV, they can not issue me a new license with expired Greencard. So there is any other way to get driver license. They say they need to have a card to prove (not even accepting a notice or letter from Immagration).

I just got an appointment notice for my Biometric. I was wondering, is it possible, if they may ask for more evidences once I get my biometric done? I just want to be prepared and not to be so happy that everything is going perfect.

What is the next step after Biometric, Interview? Is it possible that my case can be approved by skipping the interview?

You won't be asked for additional evidence at the biometrics appointment. You will fill out a paper, have your fingerprints taken, and that's it.

You may be interviewed, but that is very rare. Most people get approved without an interview.

I have just received a notice last week. I went to check the case status online by putting the WAC no # but it is shown as error ----

Case Status Retrieval Failed

This Receipt Number cannot be found at this time in this automated system. Please check your case receipt number to see if it is correct. If you have questions or concerns about your case status, please contact the National Customer Service Center

I was wondering if my case is not activated as yet or something wrong with my case? How long it normally takes before I can check on my case status.

What I understand is to file AR-11 for myself and I-865 for my husband (as sponsor)

I have few more questions about filling the form AR-11.

1. Do I need to add the date of my 1st entered the US (after getting my Fiance visa from my country) or my 2nd entered the US after I got Green card when we traveled out of US?

2. What is A# number? ....... Is that the same number mentioning on my K-1 Visa or Green card's Approval notice?

3. After filing, do they notice us by email or we need to check the changing address status on website?

We had already received Welcome Letter and Green card but never received an Approve Notice in mail (after 30 days) as updated on our Case Status Online and email. Do I need to call them for this form? Did you guys ever receive it after approving? I wonder if we might need to use it when we apply for permanent Green card.
