  1. bring as much proof and you can. This same thing happened to me a year ago and I have been able to enter the US by land and airport customs 10 times since then. I always go to secondary and they always look through my documents- but I get through.

    what I recommend you bring

    - apartment/car lease

    - if you live with parents get a notarized letter stating you live at home.

    - tax statements from the current ir previous years.

    - credit statements ( dating back 6months recommended by CBP officer)

    - if business owner: bring banks statements, business cards etc.

    - bring proof of car insurance.

    - bring full travel itinerary: flights, health insurance and airport parking reservation, hotel reservation.

    - proof of job if employed by company: approced leabe with return date

    - bring ALL K1 related documents.

    - Always carry US cash for the time you are spending in US. credit or debit funds are not a reliable source of money to CBP officers

carry it all with you and be truthful. You have nothing to hide. ultimately its up to the discretion of the officer. but if you have your stuff in order, you should be fine.

    good luck!

  2. There is a new show starting in January on TLC called "90 Day Fiancé". It follows 5 men who have fallen in love with women from other countries, and it documents their first 90 days after being approved if the K1 visa.

network TV normally paints a negative picture of reality- and this show may not represent everyone's situation- but it seems interesting and I'm going to watch it!

  3. I'm at the point where I'm filling out the DS-160 form abd I'm stuck on my number of times/length of time Ive been in the states. I live in a border town and have traveled back and forth to use the Buffalo airport or shopping. even to visit my fiance- we have been visiting each other for over 5 years and I can't recall every visit and length of stay.

if I miss date or cannot recall the exact length of time- could that have a negative effect on my interview and cayae for denial?

  4. NVC received our documents two weeks ago after the NOA2 was granted Sept 9th. 5 weeks later it was getting old and tired, the waiting. The embassy in Kiev then received them last Friday. (within a weeks time) My fiancée called Monday and was told they have an opening October 31st (today) and then nothing for a few weeks. She quickly booked the interview for the 31st (today). I overnighted the financial documents Monday. She did her medical on Wednesday and was at the embassy in Kiev early this morning. She passed like a champ. The interview itself was about 5 minutes and she was asked about 5 questions. The officer was a young lady who was friendly and smiled at her the entire time. (The embassy in Kiev....top notch) She will receive the visa in about a week and will see America for the first time the following week. Was started out as a long, drawn out slog, ended very very quickly. I wish all of you the great happiness I am experiencing tonight.

What a dream come true just in time for the holidays! ♡♡♡♡

  6. my fiance and I have been together for 5yrs and we could be more different. culturally - when we met I was just a Canadian catholic girl and he was born in Pakistan and comes a very conservative Muslim family. our personalities are very different both and we both think we are right all the time and it causes fighting- especially in the beginning. It took time for us to learn how to to communicate with each other. We work hard at it- we still fight- but that's life. relationships take a lot if work. You can't give up on it. We are very close now and being so different had helped form us into better people. I'm not nearly as angry and he is more patient with me. we know how to love each other now.

all I can say is be patient and learn to love one another.

    be their support system.
