  1. All a but weird as I know for a fact myself and a few others have had a very fast result through Lincoln Nebraska the Bio and the 1 year extention letter all done within a month to 6 weeks thats mailing the check etc.

1800 is no use they know nothing and will tell you anything they are contract workers and are known as the mis-information line BUT you could ask them if you could speak to an Immigration Officer and you may be in luck and get transfered its happend to me a few times and they have brought up my files from the day I arrived etc the contract workers do not have access to anything.

I reckon that you will hear any day now Good Luck.

  2. Hello Everyone,

I have been through the K-1 Journey and now i am in AOS journey. My question is that my wife's AOS is pending. We got her SSN on there it says that "valid for work only with the DHS Autorization." does she still need to apply for the employment Authorization??? Please Help

    Thank You So Much ALL...

I take it she has her EAD (employment authorisation document)?

If NO get one if I find it hard to believe that she has not ot one if she has a SSN.

If yes she has then she is good to go.

I remeber 3 years ago neally I had got my EAD and had to take it to the SS office to prove I was aload to work then they sent the SSN out.

  3. Hi ,

I know i have two years to worry about this. Can someone please tell how do you get two Affidavits done when you have no friends in the USA. My husband keeps to himself and i have not made any since i have been here. People have seen us together they are neighbours but they dont know us. Any suggestions.

    Thanks Kath.

I did not bother to send affidavits and mine was accpeted for filing and I have had my NOA and Biometrics.

  4. Biometrics were done when my wife filed for her permanet residence. I notice in many posts regarding the lifting of conditiuons that people are waiting for biometric appointments. Is this because some folks missed this step or do we all have to do it again?

I thought the same as you, and the answer is yes you do go again I have just been myself.

You file the I-751 and wait for the NOA and the Bio appointment mine came at the same time but not every ones does but they should be pretty close in being sent out.

  5. I know that my check was cashed but whats the normal amount of time to get the NOA or :oRFE back?

    Thank you :luv:

Depends on your service center. If you've been following the forum, the VSC is very behind with their NOAs so calling them is not going to help much. If you need it for travel etc. an infopass to get a stamp in the passport is the way to go. Otherwise just sit and wait like the rest of us :)

    [/quot

    Lincoln Nebraska.

I can travel my GC does not expire until Feb 2007 so thats not a problem I filed early, Divorced self petition.

Not worried about the wait just curious thats all

  6. Hi everyone. My wife (USC) and I separated about 3 months ago but forgot to submit forms AR-11 and I-865, giving notice of our change of addresses. There was nothing conspiratorial in our failing to do so, we just plain got caught up in the separation and moving out and forgot. I realise it was stupid. Anyway, the AR-11 and I-865 are supposed to be completed within 10 and 30 days, respectively, of any change of address. My question is, having well exceeded these time limits, would it be best to submit the forms now, giving the true dates of our moving and risk a fine, or to put on them that we only moved out in September?

Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    -/Richard

I was 6 months late once went over my head I got an infopass and explained what I had done and she laughed and said just fill the form out here and I will enter it into the computer.

She said it happens all the time.

  7. Dear All,

I previously hired an attorney to adjust my wife status. In February 2007, we are due to file "lift condition" application. This time, we decided to do it on our own. Do I have to withdraw the power of attorney since the attorney was designated to act on our behalf previously? Thanks

Same thing happened to me and the answer is that you do not need to contact the Lawyer his job is over and done with plus it would cost you another $1,500-$2,000 when you can do it yourself for $205.

( my lawyer actually told me this himself)

Funny enough my conditions are due to be removed in February 2007 also but I filed early as I am divorced.

    Good Luck

  8. [[This is just my understanding from conversations with my immigration attorney but each case is unique. I think your best bet would be to consult an immigration lawyer and explore what your legal options are.

Good luck to you however it turns out!

Sorry to hear about the Divorce it happens to the best of us.

Anyway yes you can self petition and file it as soon as you have the summary of dissolution back and signed by the courts.

You need to get the i-751 and file it requesting a waiver to self petition based on your Divorce the form is simple to fill out.

Make sure that you can prove that the marriage was in good faith and not for the purpose of a Green Card send them as much evidence with the petiotion that you can get your hands on.

Looks like there a few of us in the same boat right now it will work out have faith well thats what I tell myself

  9. Well I decided to send it today being Saturday as I may not be able to get out of the office next week for lunch in time to get to the Post Office I just hope that its enough what I sent fingers crossed?

Its, as some are aware to remove my condtions based on my Divorce but it gets complicated as we have reconciled since the Divorce and live together again, but we have nothing really in joint names anymore not that we ever did to be honest he paid all the bills I bought the food but we did have a joint account besides are own separate ones.

So I have sent a copy of a cheque in both names (plus it was also paid from that account the filing fee)

Some Bank joint statements for the past 2 months and some old ones that I found in the draw.

I included my cell phone and store card bill to show that I live at the same address.

He wrote a really nice affidavit for them taking full responsibility for the break down in the marriage and divorce.

2 passport phots and the divorce papers dissolution.

Thats it there was nothing else to send at the AOS interview they took the lot then and when we split he never kept anything like I said there was nothing much anyways :(

I mean its a bit silly if you are applying to remove conditons based on your divorce to ask for certain documents to be sent as proof of a vaild marrige, because they already would of seen them at the AOS interview, and of course you would not have that evidence in joint names if you are no longer together, so why do they ask when they already have the proof????????? from the AOS.

I do not even have the original lease that we had in both names as he bought the house when we split and it's only in his name.

Well I guess I will have to sit tight and wait  ####### it seems so unfair because its obvious are marriage was a bonafide one or we would not be back together.

I am am just so worried about not sending enough evidence :help:

  10. I agree with the Cat. Have the dear hubby write up an affidavit clearly stating the bona fides of the relationship and the validity of the marriage. It can't hurt for him to admit a certain amount of fault for the divorce either, wrapping it up with the fact that you are back together, that he is hoping this will work out (as you are, since you are back) and respectfully requesting your application be granted. Good luck!

Thanks he wrote a great letter and said that he took full resposiblity for his actions and hoped that in time I would be confident enough to trust him again and hopefuly we would re-marry that remains to be seen lol.

I also added some new bills that have been sent to the house proving that I live there and a copy of our joint bank account statement with a copy of a check also.

Lets see what happens from there fingers crossed, hell I would be pissed if they refused it when we are living together and genuinly love each other, when others have been granted the waiver and have no contact or little evidence of their marriage that would just be typical.

  11. Troll alert - its amazing how many "brand new members" with exactly the same (or reasonably similar) circumstances (or sob story, however you want to look at it) joined over the last three days. Its also interesting that apparently it's only women engaging in this "terrible behavior." Personally, I smell one angry, bitter rat...making up troll stories under several different names...why would this person post in "removal of conditions, anyway?"

You know you could well me right on your assumption but in my office there are 2 guys and one girl in the past 4-6 months I woud say have split from their partners and they are all here because of their American spouses scary hey?
