we've just been approved as well! i couldn't believe it. i was up watching tv on my computer cause i couldn't sleep (of course i was checking the status in between every episode). and then all of a sudden i got the email and my heart stopped! it was the best feeling in the world. we got it in 101 days:
NOA1 04-16-2013
NOA2 07-26-2013.
No RFE, thank god!
thanks everyone for all of your support. this community has gotten us through the process (which, luckily for us was relatively short). keep breathing!

It's been a little while since I read it, but I believe the former employee said something about it only taking 15 minutes to actually process the file
aww what a guy. taking time out of his personal life to answer (in great length) all of our questions. makes me feel a bit bad for hating on USCIS so often. i guess not everyone is like him!

It just depends on how prompt VJ members are in terms of updating their timelines. More people are getting approved than is recorded on Igor's List, and if you check it multiple times a day (guilty) you'll see that often there will be new additions for days that have already passed. If/when I get approved, I will try my best to update my timeline as quickly as possible, but I can guarantee you I'll be having a mini celebration first

Still foolishly holding out hope that this is just the "official word" to make people be a bit more patient. There's been lots of March approvals already, so I'll hold onto that hope until the end of August (I'm an April filer).
Same here!! There have been a few April approvals already as well, but I'm sometimes hesitant that they were mistakenly updated or some crazy thing. Still keeping my fingers crossed that there's a good chance I'm coming up next, though. Even if I would feel slightly guilty for getting approved before January filers. Anyways, hang in there everyone! We can do it!
How long for NVC?

I just got off the phone with NVC a few minutes ago. The wait time was about 15 minutes and she told me that my case was not there yet, and that it can take up to 8 weeks. We have an NOA2 date of July 26, 2013, so I know it's not technically "two weeks" but hearing 8 scared me a bit
