  1. hello,

you are not supposed to call the embassy to get an appointment. they will send you an Email and inform you about your date of interview. so don't call them and just wait for them to conatct you. I have heard that the US embassy in Ankara is very busy! wish you the best of luck.

    Hi VJ Friends,

Does anybody knows how long does it take to find an appointment in Ankara?

its like 10 days we are trying make an appointment in US embassy in Ankara, but we face the message: "There are no available appointments at this time" . We try everyday online, but still no news.

  2. If you paid via over the counter bank, it's the receipt that the teller that will give you. It's just a small piece of paper.

While if you paid online like me, you'll just get an email confirmation that you paid for the visa.

Those are the two possible ways to pay your visa fee and to Get a deposit confirmation ;-)

And it's needed because it a proof that you paid for the visa fee

Thank you so much :) wish you the best of luck. and the friend who told me to ask the question in Iran forum, thanks for the help but all the documents are the same and I just wanted to know what it is!!!

  3. unfortunately we weren't able to have our file transferred to Ankara, they told us that the US embassy in Ankara is too busy and won't be able to accept new files from other embassies!! so we have our interview appointment on August 29th in Abu Dhabi. wish you the best of luck . a piece of advice: Don't change embassies if it's in Ankara or Abu dhabi because these two embassies are too busy but if you want to transfer your file from these two embassies to any other country I think it'll be easier.

  4. Hello,

I'm sorry to hear that there are many of us facing this problem sad.png

The congressman was actually very helpful but he Emailed the US embassy in Ankara, but they couldn't help us. they said that there are a lot cases waiting for an interview appointment there and they can't accept any new cases from other embassies mad.gif so we will have to fly back to Abu dhabi for our interview which is on August 29th at 8AM.

well it is worth it, now we know that we have an appointment with the embassy.

I think it's better to contact them and ask to make sure that your document wasn't lost while being sent from one embassy to the other. I think you should have heard from them by now. (I don't want to make u stressed out or worried but) Abu dhabi is a pretty busy embassy but they have given us an interview appointment ,I don't think london is that busy ... so try to contact them or ask your congressman to contact them.

    best of luck.

  5. I'm sorry to hear that you have the same problem .... NVC is never helpful when it comes to these issues!!!!mad.gif my Fiance contacted his local congressman and we are waiting for him to contact the U.S. embassy in Ankara and ask them to send the transfer request to the U.S. embassy in Abu dhabi. STILL WAITING cray5ol.gif please let us know when your case is successfully transferred. wish you the best of luck.

  6. it doesn't really matter if they are black 'n white or color as long as everything is clear.(I sent colored copies of my fiance Itinerary tickets and ...BUT IT REALLY DOESN'T MATTER)

about the photos I was worried too ,I printed our digital photos(on photo paper) then stick each 2 on an A4 paper and under each photo wrote the date and place they were taken... I know I could use easier and simpler ways but I just wanted the quality of the pictures and everything to be perfect!smile.png don't worry it really doesn't matter.

  7. yes our case number starts with ABD and the problem is that they told us that they have already sent our documents to Abu dhabi... THANKS YOU SO VERY MUCH smile.png you were really helpful... we are going to call NVC on tuseday since it's a holiday on monday,my fiance also decided to contact his local congressman and hopefully everything will be fine soon.
