Hi Guys,

I have finally received my notification for my interview for November 3rd (2 days after our wedding). With it came a list of things to bring with us on that day. It has requested I bring an affidavit of support and things that I have already submitted. It does, however, state "unless already submitted". I know it is probably a bit obvious but I am assuming I don't need to bring those things then?

Ok...he didn't actually file anything but he did receive a tax back cheque this year. Does that mean it was filed for him or is this a bad thing?

Hi Guys,

My husband is filling out the i864 for my adjustment of status. Part 6 -13 is asking him to tick a box saying he has filed a federal tax return for each of the past three years.

He has only been working since May 2013. I know it only asks for the last years transcript but I don't want him to tick something that isn't true.

His father is joint sponsoring me. Will it show that he was a dependent on his fathers transcripts?

I've been searching for a straight answer for this but I just need to know.

On May 1st I was sent a request for initial evidence of an affidavit of support for my AOS (the letter was yellow). However, nothing was mentioned about the other forms I sent in with my AOS. Has the processing of my AP & EAD been stopped until they receive the information for my AOS?

Could really use your help. I have received a letter saying that the affidavit of support stuff I sent for my AOS isn't right.

It says:

Submit a completed and signed Form I-864, Affidavit of Support, for the petitioner/sponsor listed on Form I-129F (my husband). Even if a joint sponsor will be used, the petitioner/sponsor must submit Form I-864.

My father-in-law was my sponsor for my K1 visa. Does this mean they will both have to fill out I-864 and supporting documents?

I just want it to be correct :-) thank you in advance.

hank you so much for all your help. Also ust wanted to ask. When I am filling out my I 485 - can I fill it out with my married name as long as I put my maiden name when it asks what name is on my I 94?

Sorry for all the obvious questions. Just want it to be perfect and correct before I send it :-)

and also...if i file my AOS, EAD and AP will there be any extra cost for the AP?

Good Morning All!

My fiance and I got married on Monday and we are now looking at the next step for my AOS.

I am seeing alot of different things everywhere I read and I am on a bit of a time crunch.

Mr K1 visa expires on May 28th but unfortunately I am bridesmaid at my best friends wedding in London on August 9th. I know I can apply for my ability to work with my AOS forms, but I am also aware that permanent residencey could take a while to be given. I have been reading up on advanced parole but is it possible to to have that for August when my visa epires in May.

Help!! I am totally confused and any adviced will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks guys. I have filled out the DS-2001. It is just a bit frustrating now. I feel like time is dragging by :-(

So....everything is together, consulate has received my medical. I checked my NVC status and they said it is ready for interview as of DECEMBER 4th. Does anyone have any idea how long it will be until I get my interview date. Getting kind of anxious now. Thank you in advance xxx

I had my medical in London on Thursday. I have also filed my DS-160 and gathered all my other paperwork. What happens next? When will I receive an interview date? Thank you in advance. K xo

I know I am asking alot of questions about this but obviously it is paramount I get this right.

They notified me that they had sent out an RFE pack on June 25th. Who have they mailed it to? Him (US) or me (Belfast, Northern Ireland).

Finally today I heard something back from our case! I have to produce further evidence.

I am just curious as to what kind of things I should send :-)

All ideas would be appreciated. I worked in AZ for a year would things like my W2 form qualify!!

Also, do I need the originals or so copies suffice?

Are you sure??? This would be amazing if it was!!!!

I have the same thing on mine. I have always assumed that it was meant to be like that and we will just hear back when somethng has been approved.

If my case # starts with WAC what does this mean?
