  1. Give yourself 3 to 4 hours for POE

If you miss the fllight, they will re book on the next flight out.

It may be a few hours or many hours before, and I believe you will be a Stand By passenger.

Hey, "tallcoolone", my wife & I were laughing when we saw your pic. with that young lady you are with. my wife said to me, "is that his daughter or his fiancee?" tell me your night "cradel-robbing! LOL.

  2. I go to bed around 11p.m., fall asleep (if I'm lucky by 1:30 a.m.) only to wake up at 3:30 a.m. to drive my wife to work, then back home and sleep. up by 9;30 a.m. I ROCK!

Hi I'm also from Poland. It's nice to have more more folks from our homeland. Good luck to you guys. See ya.

Thank You all for the greetings, My wife and I always liked V.J. It was a very important life line for us when we were going through the K-1 Visa process. Back then, all 4 of the U.S.C.I.S. Service Centers had their own seperate forums. And it seemed like all of us going through the Nebraska Service Center were all a pretty fiesty bunch. LOL. And to Kasper from Poland, pozdrawiam!

  6. The ONLY brand to consider is H.P., and that's that. My wife and I have a H.P. 17 in. laptop with Windows Vista, brand new, & it is awsome. Anything less is a waste of $.

  7. Brad, how are you? How's Monika and how is life?

I haven't seen Nik or Nat for quite a while on here or on the other site. I haven't checked Kloid for quite some time but last I heard Nik was staying away from here becuase of the trolls. Seems he was happy with Nat and all was going well for them but he was just too busy with other stuff to mess with VJ once his wife arrived and they got down to business.

I, on the other hand, still have plenty of time for VJ. We got down to business here, but it's "business as usual" most of the time, so I can sneak in time to type.

There's been quite a few guys MIA from this site within the last year, but, in all fairness, they've all disappeared after the arrival of their S/O, so that's probably not a bad thing.

Hope to see you on here a little more and maybe see Nik or Nat again one of these days. Take care,

    Slim

Hi Slim, Thank You for the nice words. Monika is good, and she received her GC this past April (after U.S.C.I.S. put us through 2 interviews-L.O.L.!). Moni enjoys her job, and I have been interviewing like crazy since April 07 in Arizona, Colorado, and Virginia. Moni has her "temps" for driving and she is eager to take her test. How are you and and Elena ? Does she have her driver's license? Moni & I would like to chat with you both some time. Maybe you & Moni can exchange MYSPACE invites since you and her are there. Take Care, Brad.

  8. I heard from Nick tonight. Monika and I were at Borders and Nick sent me a SMS. Nick said all is GOOD and we will talk soon. So COOL. I am glad our GOOD friends are good. ROCK ON NICK!P.S. everybody, watch Globe Terkker! Also, please visit Nick's website www.kloid.com CHEERS. B)

  9. Anyone heard from NiknNat lately? Nick and I, as well as, my wife Monika, and Nick's wife, Natasha, had been in contact off and on since last summer, even up till September '06. Haven't heard anything lately from the Wisconsin native, and he is not even active at his own website....www.kloid.com...what gives?:whistle::whistle:

  10. Monika (my wife from "foreverandever") and myself were very saddened to hear what happened to Castawaysailor. Until today, we had not know about this unfortunet incident. Needless to say, we are shocked and saddened! What a LOSS! He was one of the first people to wish us congrats after Monika and I recevied our NOA2 on our K1 Visa way back in Sept. 05. Sorry to hear this. RIP, Castaway.

  11. My wife, Monika and I, met 3 years ago at Date.com. Exchanged an "interest" with eachother at the same time after seeing eachother's photos, then exchanged email addresses. We spent 1 week emailing eachother, then started regular (and LONG) telephone calls to eachother. After a week of phone calls, she invited me to visit her and her family in Gdynia, Poland. We got engaged on my first trip to Poland In May, 2004. Between that point and March 2005, I had completed 5 flights to Poland, and had spent 170 days with her in Poland, Germany, and Greece. She recevived her K-1 visa in November 2005, and I flew to Germany to get her at Christmas 2005. Married in March 31, 2006 and the rest is history! Soon, we will have our 1 year anniversary. Life Is GOOD!

  12. Hi everybody. It has been awhile since I have last posted. My wife, Monika, entered the U.S.A. on January 6, 2006 on the K-1 Fiancee Visa. We were married on March 31, 2006. Last week, on September, 9, 2006 we learned of the death of her Brother Daniel. He was only 29 years old. Daniel was at a stadium in Gdynia, Poland viewing a soccer match. He was a HUGE fan of the "home" team, Arka-Gdynia. The police came in and sprayed some of the viewers with gas. This caused Daniel to have a heart attack and he died. Yesterday, Monika left the U.S.A. to go home to Poland, and be with her family. She will return on October 9, 2006. PLEASE, she does read VisaJourney. Would you kind people , PLEASE, send warm words to Monika and her family? I would appricaiate it. Nick"n'Nat have sent such kind word also. THANK YOU.

  13. She should have some proof of income to substantiate the 1040. If you call the IRS you can get a free transcript of her return in which case you might not need the w-2.

Anyone can fill out a tax form and send it to USCIS so it is good to have proof of your income.

Thank you Damulag for your input, but i still wonder about this whole RFE, because my income meets the poverty guidelines and we have a co-sponsor just to be on a safe side.

My mom will order transcript of her return tomorrow so we have 2 weeks to find out if we need to submit new I-864's again. Probably won't hurt if we do so.

    Thank you again :)

  14. Hi guys!

Well, we got RFE and here is what they ask for:

The sponsor or joint sponsor ( if required) on Form I-864 Affidavit of Support must submit the following:

*W-2s, 1099s, and/or all schedules submitted to the IRS - a copy of his/her Federal income tax return was submitted and/or the sponsor or joint sponsor requested an extension to file his or her Federal income tax return.

*Federal income tax returns for the most recent tax year or certified IRS copies ( and later they explain how to obtain these)

*Evidence of current employment or self-employment including a letter from each employer on business stationery, showing date of employment, type of work performed, number of hours worked per week, and salary or wages paid. If you are self-employed, submit a recently dated letter on business leterhead or a business license.

I understand what evidences I need to submit but need to make sure if I need to fill a new I-864 with that?

What makes me mad is that we already sent everything they ask us for! My I-864 ( sponsor) with tax return for 2005 and letter from employer also my Mom's ( co-sponsor) I-864, copy of her birth certificate and tax return for 2005! It looks like they lost it.....................

  15. Andy,

Have you emailed the U.S. Embassy to ask them whether a "Certificate of Free Status" can be obtained through them by making a sworn statement?

In Germany, a similar document is required. It's officially called a "Certificate of Free Status," or an "Ehefähigkeitszeugnis." I went to the U.S. Embassy in Berlin and received one. I simply had to swear under oath in front of a Consular Officer that I was indeed free to marry.

Maybe you can ask the U.S. Embassy in Poland if it is possible to get a "Certificate of Free Status" instead of going throught the Court procedure.

    Good luck!

    --Z

I'll double check my research. The Embassy does give you the letter but it's used to take to the courts for the hearing.

That's right Andy, letter says US does not issue "Certificate of Free Status", and it is in English and Polish as well. We tried to get married in Poland but things got complicated when a Chief Judge told my wife that at first I need to have my divorce recognized by Warsaw's Court ( over a year of waiting!!!) before we try to get a hearing in my wife's city Court. Oh well, shortly after that we sent 129F petition, and in our case that was the best thing to do.

  16. Well... just another quick question. Yeah sound stupid but still wanna confirm. So... do we submit the original of I-864? As it's notarized, so I wanna confirm if we just need the copy then bring the original to the interview or what.

    Thanks again!

You need to send an original form, but the new I-864 don't need to be notarized at all, just worked on that one a minute ago. During the interview you need to bring another up to dated affidavith of support, anybody confirm?
