  1. First of all make sure you read the NVC Process here:http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/486029-nvc-guides-faqs/

Most of your questions are already answered there. Now let me answer your questions individually (although others have already responded to all of them):

    1. You can send the civil documents from India directly to NVC. Use a reliable shipper (like DHL) so you can track it. Make sure the Bar Coded sheet is at the top of this package. DHL will take about 2 days to reach.

    2. Do not wait for emails from NVC. Go to the CEAC website (Payment Portal) and pay the AOS fee of $88. Also, after your DS261 (you said you completed DS260, that is probably incorrect) is processed (about 2 weeks) you will be able to pay the IV fee.

The I-864 is a fillable pdf form. You can fill it on the computer, print it, sign it (black ink). They want your original signature on it. Do not forget to attach - Tax Transcripts, employment letter, pay stubs etc, and also the bar coded sheet on the top.

Finally, come join us in the NVC Filers - April 2014 thread where others like you (whose files are at NVC) are discussing very similar topics.

Thank you so much for your very useful guidance. I will definetly join the thread, I was wondering why my questions were not being displayed like before?. But now I know.

  2. Hi everybody...

how to send the I-864 AOS form? We have paid the IV fees and submitted the DS260 Form, yet to submit the civil documents.

I wanted to ask that do we have to wait until the NVC asks us to pay the ASO fees? now the online ceac.state.gov is showing that we need to pay the AOS fees, but we did not receive and intimation from the NVC that we have to pay, like they did when we had to pay IV fees...

One more thing is that, I understand that once we pay the AOS fees, we need to send the I-864 along with the Reuired documents such as IRS Transcripts and employment letter and pay stubs etc..But I remember reading some where that the beneficiary too has to carry the AOS to the interview in his/her country.

Please i will be very thankful if anyone could clear my doubts...

    thank you.. :clock:

  3. Hi everyone....

    1) Now that we have completed the D260 online and submitted, we have to send the supporting civil documents. Can my husband (benificiary) send it directly to NVC from INDIA or he has to send it to me (Petitioner) and then I should send it to the NVC?

    2) Should we pay the AOS fees of $88 now or do we have to wait for the NVC to inform us when should we pay? do we have to fill the AOS form online or we have to download the I-864, fill it, print it, sign and then send it to the NVC?

One more thing, how long does it take the NVC to approve and accept the D260? because as we submitted it was showing that it will take 30 working days. really? and how long does the AOS take to be accepted by the NVC.

KIndly give you expert opinions on this one, everybody has been a great help in this very long journey, I hope everyone filing for the Visa to US is admiring the help of all you guys in the same way...

  4. If you have that letter you are on the CR1 path now, not the K3.

The agent, should be the petitioner since they have a US address, even though the NVC communicates through Email.

I suggest going to this post, reading the first two posts of the thread and any questions you can ask, after reading those first two posts and the links, can be asked there..

Thank you so much Once Again, NLR.

you dont know how important is your guidance to me? I will get back to you if I have some more doubts

  5. Hi everybody, Just received a letter from NVC to get in touch with the NVC by filing Form D-261 online choice of address, and agent.

I just wanted to ask, what if the beneficiary was made the agent instead of the USC? What does has the agent (beneficiary) has to do then?

Yeah.. I know seems a stupid question but, want to be very clear, before I could go head. I need the expertise of you all guys.

    Thank you...

  6. Fill it out on the I-864 and make sure the beneficiary puts the correct address to where they will live upon immigrating on the DS-260. You dont need to inform the USCIS at the NVC stage because they dont have your case.

After the beneficiary POE's then you would use form I-865 to inform the USCIS of any time a sponsor moves (that includes the petitioner and any joint sponsors.)

    Thank you so much... NLR...

Cannot even imagine how we would have handled this tough journey without the help of such wonderful people like you......

    once again....thank you soooo much.......

  7. Both the beneficiary and petitioner can call the NVC. My husband, the USC, did not call them a single time. I dealt with all the NVC paperwork. He also never called the USCIS either for that matter, but thay was because we were appproved within his personal set timeframe. Lol

    NLR,

I wanted to ask you that, the address of the USC has changed after we got the NOA2, now where do we have to inform the change of address? I knew the details of this regarding the USCIS but I dont know about the NVC.

Can you please guide me regarding how to do it?

Thank you so much NLR, you made my day. My wife (USC) is very very busy, and she has asked me if I could do it. your reply will make her happy.

Thank you once again, and I am very sorry that I saw your reply very late.

  9. So my husband went to his interview at the Paris embassy, and we got approved for the visa. Want to thank this site for helping me file the papers correctly and I want to thank God for this journey! I will post the question shortly, when he tells me. Good luck to everyone else, it is worth the wait!

God bless you all on your journey dancin5hr.gifluv.gifcontent.gifrolleyes.gif

  10. I am in the same situation as the thread starter. I received 2 NOA2 for my I-29F and I-30. Both were dated December 30, 2013 and were sent to me on December 31, 2013. However, on my I-29F, it says there that Approval Notice Valid from 12/27/2013 to 03/26/2014. What does that mean? I also have an A### ### ### assigned to me as well as my wife. Also, when I checked with the USCIS website, it says on my I-29F petition that "your Alien Registration Number was changed relating to your I29F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Why is that?

This has probably the best Christmas gift I have ever received. My hands were trembling and my heart was pounding as I was opening the envelopes. My knees almost buckled after reading what was written in it.

About approval notice Valid from 12/27/2013 to 03/26/24, i guess this means that you have to follow the instructions the DOS or NVC gives and you should reply them within that period of time.

And ur next part of question it says on my I-29F petition that "your Alien Registration Number was changed relating to your I29F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). I too got the same thing but next day they again the status which was showing post decision activity.....

  11. Which petition was approved?

Both I-129f and I -130 Have been approved. U have applied for a K-3 Visa.

Looks like he has k3 visa.

And it's good news ur case is shipped to NVC.

Just call and ask them for case number and inn.

And then pay fees and send paper work.

Exactly! we have a K-3 Visa. and thank you very much for replying and guiding.

Wich visa ur applying for ? and when did u submit ur visa ?

We have applied for a K-3 Visa on Feb, 27th.

  12. On December 30, 2013, we shipped this approved or re-affirmed case to the Department of State for visa processing. For more information, please contact them directly.

For approved applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include USCIS sending notification of the approved application/petition to the National Visa Center or the Department of State. For denied applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include the processing of an appeal and/or motions to reopen or reconsider and revocations.

What do they mean by the above paragarphs? when will be our case be going to the NVC?

  13. I just got my letter in the mail and it told me my local office would be california now... (not so local) but hopefully it means time will go quickly!

Wow, U are on a role now. Time will definetly go quickly. And you will be united with ur loved one very soon.

By the way how much time did it take for you to receive this mail (California) from the earlier mail? I hope I too get one soon.

    Take care and keep updating.....

  14. I received the same letter, I hope its for something good. Mine also was in Missouri and I am now waiting on my letter to let me know where it is going to be. I pray that we get through this process swiftly as possible... smh its too much just for your spouse to come to be with you.

Yes, its really too much, its like a big punishment for us or a test of our patience. My friend, I don't know if these people will mail us to know where our case is being handled. I think we have to call the customer care and ask about it. Don't worry it will be all good hence forward, and i wish that we both get the positive reply very soon and be with our love ASAP......

    Take Care..
