  1. I filed my i-129f on april 16, 2013, and recieved the NOA1 through email. Now when i check online, my status is in initial review.. then on " April 23, 2013, your Alien Registration Number has changed relating to your I-129f PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Every day since then, ive been calling and spoken to a tier 2 officer...They said " THERE IS A GLITCH IN THE SYSTEM"

Today (5-1-13) i called and the tier 2 officer said " I CAN SEE AN ALLIEN NUMBER GIVEN TO YOU IN THE SYSTEM" Does this mean that i will be getting my NOA2 soon because i know that they are looking into my case and my papers are at the california service center. Im a born citizen so does that mean it will speed things up other than the naturalized applicants ? I know the wait time is 5-7 months but i pray to god it will happen in less than 3 months...Any body got their Alien registration in hand, got the same message, and got approved soon?

I will try to call tomorrow again and try to confirm with another tier 2 officer if they can see my Alien number on there just to make sure. Please let me know if same happened to you and what happens next once i got an alien number.

  2. Yea i herd that they closed down for about 4 months during the summer if its true... But i hope for the both of us that if it is true about the Alien number being change, I hope that we get our message that we have been waiting for to hear really soon. I also heard on VJ that it could be a system glitch but i would highly thing that is very unprofessional coming from a government system. But i hope thats not the case. I will hope for the best of us and for those who got their Alien number changed these last few days.

  3. The uscis received my letter packet on April 16,2013 and got my case number through email and text on April 19th 2013... As of yesturday Mine also says:

" On April 23, 2013, your Alien Registration Number was changed relating to your I-129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E)."

My Uncle Petition his Fiancee lastyear and a half ago and got his second NOA2 notice within 5weeks...as to what he said. I wont be expecting anything and trying to keep my hopes up but... i want to know what does this mean???

I see some people on VJ get their notice after seeing this....

Today i called the USCIS and was a wait of 66 minutes on hold so i chose for them to call back option. An hour later they called and said that its an Alien number given to your fiancee on your documents... so if they give my fiancee an Alien number could this be a process of getting an NOA2 soon? They told me it would not be judicated for another 5months... Im not sure if i should believe them because i know other people got notices sooner than 5 months of wait. Someone please let me know what does the ALIEN REGISTRATION NUMBER CHANGE MEAM? Thanks all

  4. doubtful you are looking five months or less.. more like seven these days although the centers are catching up.. right now you have petitions being approved dating back to july and all the way through December.. as for 1.5 years ago, that was well before daca started which seems to have shoved a plug in the pipeline.. search the threads you will find all the answers there, but patience is going to be the name of the game for now

    Thanks Steve!

  5. I filed 2/16, received my receipt number and letter on 2/20/13 I have not heard anything further at 2 months in.....website shows about 5 months for approval, but not to sure of that from what I read in the forums. I pray everyday for a quick answer.

Hi Susan! you and me both...I pray for the both of us to get our answers soon. Lets keep our head up and hope that they can work faster to serve us. :)

  6. Hello vj users i am new to this forum.

On april 15, i sent my I-129f packet. They received it the next day april 16 from my fedex 1day service delivery. I received my NOA1 and Case number from email and text on friday april 19. My question is that how long does it take to get my NOA2??? and for the status on uscis.gov to jump from initial review to decision bubble? My uncle did his 1.5 years ago for a petition for I-129f for his fiance from the philippines and he got his NOA2 decision of approval within 5weeks...im wondering if the same would go for me. Also, I have a friend and she Petition her boyfriend from ireland and was able to get here in the us within three months...How is that possible? She did the same steps i did and succeeded. The uscis processing time said that it would take 7.5 months as of feb.28 2013 but i dont think if that would be really accurate. I would like to know how long it would take for me to get my approval and if it would be less than 7 months. Please if you already received your approval experience less than 5 months...please let me know how long it took you guys so i can get a picture in my mind and see how long i have to wait. thank u all! Please help i would greatly appreciate it. But right now im just playing the waiting game. :(
