Hi everyone,
I got my permanent resident card in July 2013 and am now applying for citizenship using the N 400 form. The form asks for USCIS Online Account Number.
I have the A number. I have a receipt number starting with WAC ........... I seem to have a USCIS online account in that I have a username and password. But when I got to the profile section (as stated in the form's instructions) to look for the online account number there is no mention of it. Where do I find this??
Thank you!
-
Yes that's true. Well at nearly 400 for the 20 minute quick medical and chest xray I think you've (I) paid enough to cover the shots!!
-
Thanks for all the good advice and support!!
I know the in-laws devour del taco as well as el ranchito. Sure maybe they're not eating real Mexican food at all!
I'm going to just try to find a dish I can like and stick with that. I don't want to be a stick in the mud every time there a party!!
This and the concrete super highways everywhere are going to be my 2 biggest challenges, so far that I can think of!
But there' are so many positives to the big move. And life is always eventful, so onwards and upwards!
-
And of course as KDH says there about work colleagues not understanding, my in laws are the same 'how can you not love Mexican food', tired- lets have Mexican, hungry - lets have Mexican, not sure - lets have Mexican!!
But I'm sure in Ireland we're like that about potatoes!!! It's a stereo type for a reason!!
-
Yes now I identify with what you are saying. It's not that I won't eat it. But I find it hard to order something.
We ain't moving anywhere anytime soon!!
No I'm determined to battle through this obstacle!! It's all part of moving and integrating in a new country!!
-
Ah no I don't mean to be controversial! Well not too much! It's more tongue in cheek!
But I've been over a few times (Southern California) and there is a lot of emphasis on Mexican food. And my in laws , who are not Mexican LOVE it. It's their go to food. So I have found if you're not as in love with it as they are it's a bit hard!
And it's not corned beef, it's bacon and cabbage- which I love!!
And I love potatoes!!
Maybe because my diet is so stereo typically Irish that's why I find it so hard!!

I'm moving to California next week. How long does it take to acclimatise to Mexican food when you're a blow-in??
Otherwise Ill end up starving ........

I did my medical in May this year. You get everything done on the day of the appointment with Dr.Gleeson and his nurses. Your results are ready 1 week later. It's up to you if you want to pick them up, get them posted or wait til your interview and pick them up that morning.

Good luck Naima!
Be confident!

When you get approved your status will change from 'ready' to 'issued' - saying your visa has being issued and printed and you will recieves it in the post soon (if that's the way your embassy delivers it).
Hopefully your status will change to 'issued' very soon.
-
Yeah - thanks! You will get there soon- just hang on in there.
-
As far as I know Dr. Gleeson won't charge you for whatever shots he may have to give you. When I was booking my appointment I asked to make sure. So perhaps just make sure with them when you are calling to make your appointment.
It sounds like you are and will be very organised!

And Crystal how does this help the OP exactly?
His visa has been put in AP- what is it exactly you are advising him?
Sorry- I'm confused??
-
Ok that's great news! Hopefully things will start to move at a good pace for you now!
-
Congrats preetygirl!
I also got my visa this week and fly on the 5th!
It's very exciting isn't it!
-
Once my status said 'issued', passport with visa arrived in the post 2 days later!
I'd say that's excellent news!

What is a 'Pure American'?

You need to get into K1 visa forum and find out in what order things happen for your visa!

Hi Loughrey,
Sorry my bad. My visa route is a little different to yours. You are applying for the fiancé visa whereas I am the spouse visa- I'm already married.
My case spent much longer at NVC than yours did/will. I sent all my paperwork there (I 184, police certificate etc) and when NVC are happy they say Case Complete and they scheduled appointment in embassy for me.
The K 1 visa is different as you know and I wouldn't know the exact details of the procedures involved with you visa- sorry.
When I said I rang and made an appt, I meant for medical in the Blackrock clinic. And they never asked me for my interview letter and didnt really care. Now maybe that's different for K1 visa- I don't know if they will just let you come in and do medical without embassy interview.
Also I see you have another post with a question.
I had to get a couple of booster shots on the day at my medical and they were fully included in the cost of the medical. I didn't have any official immunization records, the doctor just asked me what I knew about what shots I'd had as a kid and I went from there.
Hope this has been some help. Sorry about the earlier confusion. If you've anymore questions feel free to ask.
Good luck!

I didn't do the K1 visa so I don't know the order of when you get things done.
But I can tell you once I rang to book my appointment it took a week and half to get a free appointment. I think the doctor only does US visa medicals on a Tuesday. After I did the medical I got the results 1 week later, including the TB results.
Oh and I didn't even have my interview date at that stage and so had no letter. That didn't cause any problems.
The case number for Dublin will start with DBL.
Hope this is some help.

Hi!
I also did my interview earlier this month. When I checked our status on Monday it said 'ready' - as in ready for interview. But I checked on Wednesday and it said 'Issued' - the visa is issued and printed to expect it in the mail.
So hopefully it will be same for you and you will get the 'Issued' status very soon.
Good luck!

Thank you!
Yes good luck to all on this very tough journey.

Thank you very much!

I'm so happy!!

Thank you for your help.
I think I did pay my green card fee online but seeing as I can't seem to find details of that online account I am going to write N/A in that box.
