Please clarify, you had your interview at the consulate? If that is the case, and you were given a verbal, "we are going to approve you", then you need to just wait. for my wife, it was approximately 6-8 weeks until she recieved her documents that would allow her to travel.

My wife just got her green card yesterday.. My advice is to follow the instructions explicitly. If you do, you won't have any problems.

Hey Matt, if you do the K-1, you will have to marry her within 3 months of her arriving in the US. If she exceeds the 3 months without getting married to you, then that will put her immigration in jeopardy, although I believe that people from the UK can basically come and go to the US whenever they feel like it.

Just to clarify, I married my wife after she got here to the US. i filed the I-129F form... I did state in a separate letter that I would be providing support for my (then) fiancee, and now my wife. I had that letter notarized and included it in my packet. By the time you get to the consulate..they have all of these documents that you've sent, and have reviewed it all for integrity. I hope this helps.
