Congrats!!!! I got mine this morning as well, no interview updates yet either...
The good thing is, my EAD came as a combo card with AP!!! (Although the AP status is still in initial review on the website...) Soooo relieved now....
Congrats to you too!!! I am glad that your AP was approved as well. I know you were anxious about that. We both filed couple of days apart and being in NYC should have the interview date not far apart. Keep me posted

Finally got my EAD today!!! Feels great
but no update on Interview date yet...hopefully soon
-
Recieved notice for EAD card being mailed.
Great!!! Mine should be delivered tomorrow!
-
One interesting thing....I got text/email saying EAD is mailed today then another notification saying EAD was approved and approval notice is mailed as well. However the status of the case actually went one step backward and now says Post decision activity which is the step before card production!!! Weird!!!
Anyone else???
-
By the way how did you ask for “service request"? I called them again nagging for an update for my AP, they still wouldn't do anything for me since it's not passed the 3 month waiting period yet.
Just call and say that your status of "Testing and Interview Scheduling" has not changed over a month. Guess what I got another text/email saying they approved my EAD....after the fact they text me saying it was mailed today.....anyways...it's good news for all of us! But honestly I don't think calling with expedite anything...but just to be on the safe side you should call. I mean who knows they may have skipped a file!!!
-
I just recieved my second notification also. Looks like it will ship later today or tomorrow
Now if I can only get the interview date. I may have to call back for another service request in a week or so.
Just got an email & a text around 8:45am that card is mailed on May 7 yay!!! But no tracking no. though,,,
-
I got one 'card in production' on April 26 and another one on May 1. On May 2 they mailed the card.
Thanks a lot! I hope it to be mailed by tomorow then
-
Question: I got one notification saying EAD card in production on May 1 and another saying exactily samething today May 6. How many more card production notification am I gonna get before they mail it? Any idea? Thanks!
-
Mine says "Testing and Interview" since 4/2 I just got EAD in production on May 1 and no notification on mailing yet(btw how long does it take?)....but nothing on Interview date. I called and did service request on May 1...will find out what they say in 15 days. And what do you really mean that case not found??? When you enter the receipt no. nothing shows??? Not even the "Testing and Interview" thing???

I researched "conditional GC" so it seems that is what i have. Not sure what that means exactly whether all AOS through marriage receive that or not?
Yeah that's what it is...any marriage under two years they always issue you conditional...also there could be other reasons as well. However condtitional is as good as GC but only thing is that you have to apply again to remove it towards the end of two years for the 10 year one. It's not a big deal but generates more money for them since there is a fee of apprx. $500 to do that and that's all....but it is as good as GC
It looks like your interview went pretty fast! Even before EAD, right? That's great. By time I get interview in NYC I think I will be over two years and have more children by then lolllll But that's ok as long as I get my EAD on time

My Green Card interview was a success: I have been approved.
Here's a detailed post on my interview process and all questioned asked by the lady that interviewed us.

Congrats to both of you!!! BTW did you get conditional green card? Our marriage is less than two years and we have two beautiful kids together...

Thanks for your advice! So strange thing happened yesterday (May 2) - I called in for an inquiry on my AP case, then of course they told me I have to wait till 90 days to put in a request. A few hours later I received text that my EAD is updated, it jumped directly in "production" (Guess just like your case)... However still no news on the AP, which I badly need at this point. Will try to call again today...
At least something is being updated in my case!
Congrats! Looks like they are suddenly working on EADs all together...
OR someone hit the snooze button on us and went back to sleep........... I didnot apply for AP but I hope you get it soon!!!
-
Ok....Just wanted to make sure. I also called for a service request after 30 days. Good news though I recieved my EAD card production notice this morning.
Now it's time to wait for the card and interview notice. It looks like my local office was processing October applications at the end Feb. Looks like the interview could take a few more months but I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a shorter turnaround. Feels great to have good news on a Friday.
Congrats! I expected you to get an update soon since you are way overdue. It's funny every time we call we get an update immidiately after that. Another member and I both called then got an update within hours after that......is this a new pattern now?? But in any way we all are happy to get an update....all the best to you!

I know...it's funny I called in the morning then get an update about EAD in the afternoon. Same with you. Too much of a coincidence! I guess they forgot about our case up until we called....lollll

Did you call in regards to the AP and EAD specifically? I called regarding the I485 earlier and was told to wait for 15 days regarding the interview status.
I only gave them the MSC number for the I485
I did the same and was told to wait 15 day to get a response....Only I485 they ask for. I tried to tell them about EAD they said...that was a processing time of 90 days and to call after that. But as far as I know, all of the cases move simultaneouly....I485 is the main thing I suppose....I called on the 30th day after NOA move to interview scheduling but no other response...I called in the morning, did a service request and aroung 5PM got text and email about EAD being ordered...but I don't think my call has anything to do with that...EAD was due aroung this time anyways...Keep in mind...IN NYC interview scheduling can take as long 6months ...NYC office is one busiest ones!!! But EAD should be approved or arrive bet. 60-70 days in most cases....good luck

Hi guys, I've been following this thread for a while, congratulations to those of you whose case went smooth and had progress!!
I filed my I 130/485/765/131 package in Feb, NOA received 2/26, biometrics walk-in on 3/23, i485 updated to scheduling interview on 3/26... and then absolutely nothing until now...
Is there anyone out there still waiting just like me? It's been more than a month since my bio was taken, and when I called their 800 number, of course, all I got was the reading from those words we can see online, and then she told me I can do nothing but keep waiting. I really really hope my AP could get approved sooner - have a conference in Europe soon, but without that I can't even apply for visa!
Any advice would be appreciated...
You should call them and do a service request....see where your case stands...my bio on 3/27...went on scheduling on 4/2...then nothing until May 1,..so I called in the morning, submit a service request....had lunch took a nice nap to find out text and email on my phone that EAD is on production....You should certainly call. Your submission date is earlier than mine. But I have a feeling you will get an update in 2-3 days...good luck!
-
Great news for you, I remember you were struggling a lot with this silent waiting. Congrats!
Thanks a lot....yes silence is scary....congrats to you as well
-
awesome congrats:) at least we both got some good news today:) ayooo
Yes congrats to you too....the wait is over! Sigh of releif! Not too worried about interview or date. We have two beautiful children together
Wish you best of luck!!!
-
Here is an update finally....but no update on interview date since bio on 3/27.... I don't really care so much about that but I called this morning for service request. EAD is good enough. Interview can wait......thanks everyone in the forum for replies and help....

My dear friend you are so predictable, I was waiting for you to comment, I see you didn't disappoint me. So lets break your comment in pieces, first you say "It looks like things are getting screwy with you too hahahaha slowly the imperfection of the system is catching up to you..." But then you say "Don't worry I don't wish anyone bad luck or anything" do you see what I see? You have a big problem with logic, please don't make a fool of yourself. And as I said, USCIS does a good job, most cases go smooth but like in every system.... SH!T happens. The difference is, some people understand that, some others don't.
Being predicatable is a good and distinquishable human characteristic
My arguments about them still stand. It looks like yours is changing. Listen, my original post was not about you. I was just stating how messy and inconsistant the system is and you seemed to take it personally and volunteered to you stick up for them just because you got served by the system on time. If you read the posts here and in other threads, you will find many are actually getting unfairly delayed or having some sort of problem. Well, I am glad to see that now your tone about them changed a bit. There is no valid reason for them to approve one case in four weeks and hold up any other for ten months...one getting interview in two months and another is still in initial review for three months or someone applied after you getting everything done while you are still stuck at early stage....and many in this forum are have issues like that. The level of ineffiency in immigration system has been well talked about in here for decades asking for reform. I suppose you are not that informed. When someone has a point of view you have to listen before you jump on the defensive or offensive...you don't have to agree but you just can't blatantly say it's full of SH!T and that's what you initially did!!! Anyways...with all seriousness all the best to you!
-
You meant the petitioner is a USC? Yes the petitioner is a citizen that's why I thought it was weird cause they have unlimited number of visas.
It looks like things are getting screwy with you too hahahaha slowly the imperfection of the system is catching up to you... Don't worry I don't wish anyone bad luck or anything
And you thought the system is perfect??!!

Yea you are right at least I have my EAD... Which makes me feel a little better. But I just wanted to be done and finally tell my parents and my family that I can go home and see them after 3 years of not being able to visit:( my husband and I are already have our tickets for August and I am scared they will push things around and it won't happen:( so that's all but yea I should not be crying here so much cause some ppl's situation is worse than mine. The patience is something that is hard when you are so close to be done with it and then boom they slap you.
I do feel bad for your situation which leaves you worrying but if it is any consolation think about millons of people in this country who are left with no option to even get legalized. I personally know a lot of people who has no option at all in currnet immigration law. At least us we have option...which may be a painful and lenghty because of the system's lack of transparency and fluidity. Hope the so called "reform" if it ever happens...will make things smoother in the future....I mean you can't get even a clearer answer even if you call them...they just say "in process"....hahahaha it's funny but very sad

Just wanted to guys let you know that I was about to schedule an infopass appointment since they canceled my interview on April 19th and got the official letter on April 23rd. I got the following message on the website:
"At this time, there are no information appointments available for the office in your area. Please try back again later."I am seriously wondering what is going on with the local office. I am praying every day to get finally my rescheduled interview date. I think it is so not fair to play with people's emotions and people's life like this. I am about to cry every time I think about May 6th when I was originally scheduled only 9 days away:(
Don't worry Baba. I am sure you will get your appointment. Contact your lawyer for instruction. Lawyer should have detailed info. about it. Besides, you have your EAD and so your case will remain as current until it is resolved via interview. They can't escape it!!! NO need to worry at all

Approximate Time Line:
2/4 Mailed 485/765/131
2/19 The original 485 filed as employment AOS was transferred to local USCIS office
3/1 Figure Print Done, 485 shows testing and interviewing
4/10 EAD/AP approved
4/18 Received EAD/AP
If I call, would they give me the same canned message, asking me to wait another 30 days?
It's funny you call it "canned message"... you are absolutely right! Talking to them is like talking to a text-to-speech software
They just read exact message you see on uscis site like a robot. But calling them won't hurt. You never know, someone might go the extra mile to help your case
February 2013 AOS filers
in Adjustment of Status Case Filing and Progress Reports
Posted
Posting after a long time. Just had our interview today. The Imm Officer was too nice. He almost said that we are approved. We took our cute 2-1/2 yr. old son and equally cute 8mo. old daughter. I guess that was enough to prove bona fide marriage lollll not to mention two heavy album of our three years of marriage together. But he never asked for anything. I have come here in student visa in the 90's overstayed. He was just going through the the papers they already have under my name including papers from one petition that was denied in early 90's and I have never followed through afterwards and up until now and via marriage I have never tried/or had a option to adjust my status.
He just wanted a recent document/letter as a proof of residence from my wife and anything that has both of our names on other than what was submitted previously(but he also said if not it is ok as well). So, we gave him our joint measely bank statement. He shook my hand and congratulated me...but specificly said that he approved the case because he has legal oblication to serve my us citizen wife and do what is best for her as a citizen.... And that was it
Next few minutes, he went over the naturalization process in three years and what my rights are etc. He(a grandfather) tried to talk to my son but my son did not seem very interested.... so in an effort to make my (getting bored) son smile he started making funny faces......and he accompanied us out to the door with a very playful and well-wishing manner...
And this was all in NYC Federal Building........
Interview time: 9am
We checked in: 8:30am
Go called in: 8:45am
Walked out: 9:20am(Most time was spent him complimenting and talking to my son and daughter as he has few grand kids of their age)
STARTIN AT1:45pm Received few texts and emails saying the case approved...card in productions etc...some of them are repetive
And lastly just want to thank everyone who I shared my concerns in this great forum and those who supported with sympathy and empathy during this ordeal. Thanks to all!!!
And good luck to everyone who are still waiting for a conclusion. All the best!!!
