I got checklisted twice for the AOS. First time I didn't realize I could submit the 1040 form for tax purposes and it would be equivalent to tax return transcript (I hadn't gotten my 2012 tax return yet) and the second time was the missing 'NA'. I think at that point NVC didn't want to hold up the interview over such a petty issue.

thanks for the response, so I should give my wife a new AOS I864 form with joint sponsor information to present at the interview? I inititally sent a AOS I-864ez form to the NVC. Even though the form had a minor error (forgot to "NA" one field), the NVC sent the DS230 along to the embassy and according to the interview letter, the NVC didn't send the AOS to the mumbai embassy. The interview letter says I should present the complete AOS.

I have a question did you get checklist regarding AOS... Or straight interview letter..????

Yes, they said 20 business days all the time to me. But I noticed it only takes about 15-16 business days.

My case completed just this morning.

I got check list for IV and that one was emailed on July 26 afternoon. I received the email from them on Aug 8 morning and case complet this morning (Aug 15).

They always tells us 20 business days for them to review. It starts when they input our case in the system. Actually, when i called them last Friday if they received our AOS checklist sent dated Aug 6, the operator replied to me we've to wait 2 weeks to enter the case in their system. This is not true, I will call them again nxt week in anyway. Keep on calling them on the status of your case just as I am. Thanks and God bless our journey!

They will tell you to give them 20 working days,it may not get up to that as soon as get the copy they will accept & let u know that they have gotten all they want, & let u know about Yr interview when a date is fix . Staple the doc, don't forget to write Yr case number on each paper, write ur name , case number at d back of Yr passport Always make photocopies before you send out, they could be careless at times.

I got same too,just resend it to be on a safer side,then let the petitioner call to know if they receive it,maybe is with them but yet to be reviewed,

Then after how long it will take for case complete..???

Yeah, ugh, I already have another form ready to mail out.. Guess we're not left withany other options when dealing with them..

Can you copy and paste the checklist what they emailed you it may be a false checklist.

The NVC has received the requested Immigrant Visa Application (DS-230). However, we are still waiting for the Affidavit of Support form. Please submit the Affidavit of Support form according to the instructions on the Department of State website at the following address: www.ImmigrantVisas.state.gov.

From there, you can fill out an Affidavit of Support form online, then print the completed form and mail it to NVC.

When responding to the National Visa Center, please include the bar code sheet that came with this letter. Failure to include the bar code sheet may cause a delay in the processing of your case. The bar code sheet should be placed on top of all documents being submitted for this case and mailed to the address provided.

You should call and ask if you have Mail. They won't tell you what is in the mail but they will tell you, you have mail waiting to be review. Hope this help you

Yes, I send the new I864EZ form again...after waiting their checklist advise thru email. There are some information that is missing. Just follow their instruction so that it will have no delay in processing. Thanks.

Just an update for those concerned about experiencing the following.

Logging in today at ceac.state.gov/IV, I got this message:

Please be advised that the case that you have attempted to access is not eligible for further processing by the National Visa Center at this time. Please contact the National Visa Center if you believe that you have received this message in error.

Expecting the case complete email any hour now!

The payment portal at ceac.state.gov/CTRAC still lets me log in regularly and see my payments.

And the Visa Status Check site ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker still says the case is at NVC.
