Go to FORUMS choose which suits ur question, hit " start new topic"Hello VJ am asking this here because am new here and dont know how to post. So someone please tell how I can start a thread. My main question is when is the best time to conduct medical exam for Lagos Nigeria ? should we do it before NVC send the doc or wait till embassy receive the I 129 document. also do I have have to do the medical before I am eligible to schedule a visa interview? Thank you.
To answer ur question you will need to wait to schedule your med exam til ur file reaches the embassy, u will the b instructed by email on the next steps which will be to pay the visa fee. Woth that receipt # u will schedule interview, and with that confirmation of interview scheduled u will use to schedule the medical exam.... Its basically step by step, dont get ahead of yourself lol we all try it will go smooth after NVC, and very very quick compared to the waiting for USCIS.. Hope this helped!! Goodluck n God bless on ur journey

He culd work in the US but not til filing proper paperwork after them getting married... Immigrating is a long process, the Temporary move mite b sumthing u r against for your child however Goin thru this process myself, ur x does have a legitimate reason for her actions.. It can b grueling waiting alone for immigration procedures to complete course.. Its still hard to think of ur child being far away, however, if u can work it out it may b a nice adjustment for ur child... Thats the hard part of parenting. The decisions we have to make idk wat to tell u on that part of ur question but yes certainly consider how ur decision will impact the likely hood of them being a family unit before just saying NO... Goodluck

Im praying for u and ur wife.... So so sad
-
OP didnt say either of these things... Read againI'm sorry for your denial
You say that she didn't know your previous employment and residence AND she didn't know you were previously married?
Honestly, these are big things a consular looks for, why didn't she know these things, especially the previous marriage?
good luck
-
Slander is only illegal in certain States.. This would not qualify for a lawsuit also the rewards or winnings would not b the visa OP is seekingI don't think that a consular could accuse your husband of cheating on you or even tell you this if your husband does. Your husband could SEW him harshly and get you the visa and get him self a big compensation and even screw the consular career.
OP is the husband.....
Please dont give advice that does not have a factual basis...

Do u have any income what so ever? If so u do need to provide proof... Bank statements.. Ect. Anything helps even child support pmts... If u have nothing u cant prove anything so nothing is required other then for to fill out the affidavit indicating u have no income then of course ur co-sponsor needs to fill out a seperate form (same I-134) and provide tax docs ( the 1040) & bank statements ect..a letter from employer also helps

This whole process is so crazy random!!! Its just so unorganized.. I confess I feel blessed, less the 4 weeks at USCIS, after approval NVC received case in less then 2 weeks which was july 24th and its now being sent to Embassy... So from start to Embassy its less then 5 months.... But I feel so terrible for others that experience such long waits yet did nothing different then we did... I really pray for everyone... Theres no rhyme or reason these procedures are so spiratic.... Its not even explainable... U can only average the processing times.. Its never ever predictable!! Smh

So I'm confused. Do you have to file or not? My wife was living in Australia with me for the last 3 years and the only "income" she earnt was from interest on her savings account in the US. We have never filed for those years because her families accountant told us she was under the threshold and didn't need to.
I've already assumed that since we wont have those tax returns that will need another sponsor for her affidavit of support, which will be her dad. Is this alright?
This is correct!!!
-
U not correct.... OP has received NOA2.... If it states they have been approved ... Smhyou received the NOA1. you still have a long road ahead for the NOA2!

Only the medical practitioner who examines you can tell you exactly which vaccinations you require, depending on your age. The one that hurt the most for me was chicken pox,ow!! Don't worry though, you'll get through it
I wonder why u had to get chicken pox vaccine? Here in the US it has been recommended by physcians to no longer get that as it causes shingles later in life??? Hmmmm im goin to research this ... Hehe

U could have started calling NVC a week ago its normal not to get notice from NVC right away!! Our case arrived there on July 17th i still have no notice.. I just called 1 week after approval n got arrival date & case #... It wasnt sent to Embassy at that point yet but they said it would b in about 5 business days... So my case is now in route to embassy b proactive in this whole process dont wait for them to come to u with info... Call as much as u need to
-
Ohhh ur already dun with that part!!! lol duhhh!!!
-
Yea it's a K1, we're not legally married but still call him my hubby!!
. Very cool you never realize how many people are in the same situation as you! Good luck on the rest of your journey!!!
Thank u same to u also... And just so u kno, theres ppl here that will advise u to not call him ur husband or hubby during this process... I use the same term however their advice is spot on!! Immigration, especially embassies in high fraud countries search public forums.. Its not safe due to the amount of ppl that break the laws & file a K-1 instead of a spousal visa cuz the wait times shorter but they r actually married.. So just sum friendly advice, keep that type of thing private, and do not send chats to interview or any other communication refering to eachother as a spouse... Make sure at the interview hes not in the habit of calling u his wife, they WILL try n trip him up by saying "your wife" during interview n he needs to quickly correct the CO & say ur his fiance dont want any denials... U can prove ur married like if sumones married but how do u prove ur not? If they suspect it.... U cant! So better to b safe hope this helps

If u are Nigerian u will not b goin thru Ukraine... Either u put the wrong country here for ur timeline or ur not understanding that if ur a citizen in Nigeria that is the embassy u will go thru.. Are u nigerian?
-

Good ideaIts Not a dig at the immigrants..Its just a state ment so people UNDERSTAN when you have a certified copy..its what it IS..and the supervisor could NOT seem to understand what a certified stamp seal is...Im just fed up with this..I cannot believe this is so HARD to get thru NVC..I have another certified copy of it IN MY HANDS...I guess Ill just send away to the courthouse for them to stamp EVERY page and have the Commisioner write a letterhead paper on TOP to say...THIS IS A TRUE XCOPY....
-
BaaahaaahaaahaaNice dig at immigrants in your last sentence. I'm sure that will go over well here.

Well I cant tell u the answer u need pertaining to the visa but Im very sorry to hear of this... Its sad may God bless u and ur daughter.. Im sure u need eachother... Im sorry also but if she "got over" her drinking problem she would not have been drinking in the past few days.. Recovering alcoholics do not drink at all.. Its called falling off the wagon if even a sip is consumed. I was married to one for years.. If they drink they are not getting better. And as for the drugs, altho I am an advicate for legalizing marijuana, it does purpose she has an addiction problem considering she knew of the upcoming medical exam but had no desire to stop smoking for it. Its so sad bcuz ur daughter should b with family u her mother, to help her thru this trial in life... I pray she can stop with her substance abuse. It hurts everyone u love & that loves u wen drugs & alcohol consume ones life... Im so sorry this is happening to u. A good resource is a drug & alcohol counselor maybe an advocate of sum type in her area and a sponsor for alcoholism. The root is why the doc sees an issue with passing her. It will b a win win if she can get her visa & also kick her addictions. Hopefully this will b her motivation. God will provide to all who seeks his love.. Use your knees & pray... i hope the time of filing is more relavant to her petition rather then age in which she would b finished with the process. Maybe since u filed before shes 21 things will b ok.... Goodluck dear
