  1. One more thing which might help some plp. When we were interviewed for the 2 year GC, after the interviewer told us that we were approved, he told us to send ALL bank statements when we file to remove conditions(2 years worth). He also said affidavits are not that important because anyone can fake those. He said we should send affidavits but don't depend on those to prove everything. When we filed to remove conditions, we noticed that 2 years worth of bank statements is a lotttttt of paper. So we just kept the front page of each statement (one with the summary) and the page with all deposits and credits. We didn't include all the activity but we did include all 2 years so it showed that we have joint banks from 2 years with decent amount of money in it.

So if I have about 20 affidavits from friends and family, it won't change anything?

I Even when see the Sheriff in town to write me a letter...

All this for nothing you think?

  2. Putting my name on those bills is not issue, I made sure that it will be on the next bills when they put it in the mail...

I have proof that we share the same bank account since we got married, and I have proof that I'm the second owner on all our vehicles as well of our insurances.

I have proof that I'm on our property paperwork and that I have been working for his business since we got married ( my name is on our taxes forms)

I have proof that we are together with all the pictures that I have of us, family events and house project.

I have so many affidavits from family and friends proving that we are together. I even ask a letter from our sheriff in town.

This is what I have and will send. I send that to them 6 months ago but not as much of everything.

I'll send as well my new residence bills with a letter saying that I thought that being married, it should't matter which name is on the bill.

I don't know what do add more and if I should look for an attorney.

  3. 6 months ago a file for I 751 and I just received a RFE.

so 6 months ago a send them everything they ask me other then I didn't have any evidence with my name on it for our residence : bills such as tel,elect,water,tv,internet....Those bills are all under his name.

Like I said I send the rest of the stuff perfectly. my name is on our bank account, loans, taxes, house propriety, blablabla...

So in the last week I have been making phone call to put all the residence bills under my name as well now. I'm waiting after this.

my question is: Do you think I should get a immigration attorney because I have not been putting those residence's bills under my name?

I'm not writing this to be judge, I know that I messed up, alright...

Did it happen to someone before? What did you do?

Should I just resend everything with the new residence bill update and I should be fine?

  4. Yes, basically. They also sell rental agreement documents at places like Office Depot. You could get those and have her work up an actual rental contract. Not sure exactly what they want from you without knowing what they are asking for and what you already sent.

They didn't ask anything specific, they only put a list of all the evidence possible to give them. I send them everything other than evidence of a credit card together and pictures.

I'll add this and add more letter I guess.

We were renting my parents in law's house since 2009 but last September 2012 we stop renting it and start living on our property while we are building our house. I hope this won't bother them.

  5. Did you send an affidavit from his mother stating that you rent from them with your initial I-751 paperwork? If not, then yes, I would include it with the RFE if they are asking for more proof of marriage and living together.

When you say an affidavit do you mean a letter? My mother in law wrote a letter saying that we were renting her house since 2009 and we were paying 600$ a month. Is it consider an affidavit?

  6. Hi,

I got the mail today I received my RFE. I was kind of surprise because I put everything that I would think should be in the file...

So my question here is do you think it change something if me and my husband are renting his parents house without any real lease paper? I ask his mother to write us a letter saying that we are staying in their house and making payments...

Is it enough or they would like to see the real paper work? We are building a house right now and send them all our house project information as well...
