  1. Hi everyone!

My fiancé is getting her citizenship next month and I was looking int the K1 process now to be ready to send it off the moment she gets it. I was starting to fill out the I-I129F and I had some questions.

    1. OTHER NAMES USED

I saw this field a few times and I was wondering if I should mention my fiances other second name. She has two second names, one of which I used as the "MIDDLE NAME". The one I used as middle name is what she typically uses as middle name when filling out forms. The other second name is her mother's maiden name - just wondering if I should be mentioning that somewhere. It's also listed on her drivers license.

    2. IF YOUR FIANCE IS CURRENTLY IN THE U.S.

I'm the alien fiancé and I am currently in the U.S. I am a Canadian citizen and I arrived in the US about a month ago, and I am leaving mid June. The form is asking for a I-94 number - I'm not sure what this is? And I'm not sure what to write in the field: "DATE AUTHORIZED STAY EXPIRED OR WILL EXPIRE AS SHOWN ON I-94 OR I-95"

I heard it mentioned on the forum that I shouldn't mention that I am in the US when filing the K1 .. is this true?

    3. G-325A

When I went to fetch this form it said "You file this form only as instructed on another Immigration application or petition" - I only fetched it because the VISAJOURNEY check list mentioned it. Is this included as a precautionary measure or is this really required? Just a question out of curiosity.

    4. A#

I've seen in mentioned on the I-129F and also on G-325A. On the I-129F it says A# and on the G-325A, it says "File Number A" / "Alien Registration Number A". They all begin with A - are they all the same number? What do I write in each field?

I'm really sorry if that's a lot of questions. Anything and everything is helpful!

Welcome to the start of your journey!

    1. You may as well include it. No harm.

    2. As a Canadian you typically don't get a form when you enter the US since you can spend up to 180 days. You are allowed to be there when you file so long as you do not overstay. And DO NOT overstay! The consequences are huge.

    3. Yes. Both you and your fiance need to fill out one.

    4. You dont have an alien registration number. The service centre eventually assigns you one I think so that just relates to people who already have cases pending I imagine.
