  1. I am currently having an issue submitting the DS-260 form for both of my parents.

The error message at the end says “After a final check, the system has identified that either some data is missing or must be reviewed. You will be redirected to the personal information page. Please review your application for completeness “

Has anyone seen this or have any advice? I have reviewed multiple times and it doesn’t give me and red boxes on any specific fields so I have no idea what to check or review.

  2. Review

Background: Did not front load our application with any bona fides, Adjusting from F1, had 3 prior EADs, 1 regular, 1 STEM extension, 1 current during AOS. Got married in Tampa and moved two weeks later to Fort Lauderdale

    Location: Oakland Park, FL

    Time: 9:45am

    Duration: Approx: 10mins

We arrived about 35 mins early, parking was easy. Security was the typical airport sytle. We checked in and was sent to the lobby area to wait on my name to be called. It seemed as if we were the only couple that obeyed the rules and left our cell in the car. At about 9:50am we were called in by a pleasant older white lady and was ushered to her office. She asked us to sit and then asked for our ID's. IO: Why do you have different addresses? Wife answered she hasn't updated her ID as yet. Then she swore us in and started flipping through our file. IO: So how did you guys meet? I answered and my wife added at the end. IO: Which one of you has been married before? We both answered none of us. IO: Did you have a civil or religious ceremony? Both answered civil. IO: Do you have pictures? Both answered yes, and I handed her our 18 photos. She flipped through every last one smiling along. IO: Who is the little girl? Wife answered, that's her oldest child who was the witness to our wedding. IO: Do you have any other proof you are married and living together? Both answered yes, I pulled out our bonafides one by one, stating what each one was and I had yellow sticky notes on each one so she could read what each one was. We had, Joint tax return, joint amended return, joint phone bill, joint credit card, joint prepaid card, affidavit from my family friend that we live with, affidavit from my best friend. She didn't look at a single bonafide. IO: How many kids do you have ma'am? Wife answered 3. IO: Where are they and when last did you see them? Oldest is in college, she came to visit last weekend, the 14 and 7 yr old lives with their dad and I saw them in June and took them to Orlando. IO: How many kids do you have sir and when last did you see them? I answered, 1 son and he lives with his mom in Tampa, he comes and visit occasionally, last time was in June. IO: Do you guys plan on having any kids together? Both answered 1 more but no time soon. IO: Sir what kind of work do you do? I answered IT support but not currently working, but I am doing interviews. IO? Ma'am do you work? Wife answered no I am on social security disability. IO: Do you get your money deposited to a joint account? Wife answered no they mail a check. IO: Which address? Wife answered stating our current address. IO: Ok sir you can take up all that stuff (bonafides), please sign this paper here ma'am, wife signs, sir please sign here, I signed (without reading like an idiot). She then, dont worry this is standard, got up and walked out...At this point I almost pissed myself, she didnt photocopy anything for our file, didnt keep any pictures, didnt ask any yes/no, didnt ask for my I94, I was positive she went to go call the deportation police. She walked back in, sat down and said "Ok sir what you are going to get is called a Conditional blah blah blah blah.........gibberbish gobbly ######....." My heart melted, my fingers tingled, my eyes teared up. She then mentioned signing up for selective service and told us the date we can apply for removal of condidtions. She then said congrats, shook my hand and ushered us out.

  3. Did they include a tracking number? I don't have one in my status.

They want to see intermingling of funds & co-ownership. ... What about joint bank account? Joint names on title of car? Car registration? Auto insurance? AAA? Cosco? Sam's Club? Joint cell phone account? You can ask the phone company to provide a letter or even email stating that the account is joint. I did that with our DirecTv. Are you named as a beneficiary or emergency contact for your wife through her employer? She can get a letter from her work stating that. We had TONS and I mean TONS of receipts for purchases that we made since we were married (groceries, household items, clothes, entertainment, meals out, etc). Cards/letters addressed to both?

Both not working at the moment so that knocks out alot things. No cars, no checking account (they charge a monthly fee if you dont have a job and direct deposit). I'm going to ask the phone company if we can get a letter or email. All the utility bills are in the homeowners names so count those out as well.

  4. This is nerve wrecking....I thought I'd be cool but faaaaaar from cool right now....Here's what we have for bona fide evidence:

    Joint Tax return

    Joint amended tax return

    Joint credit card account

    Joint prepaid card account

Around 18 photos (15 of which are from wedding day)

Affidavit stating we live together with a family friend

    Affidavit from my best friend

Affidavit from my wife's brother (our sponsor)

I feel like this is not enough evidence and we dont have the stereotypical apartment lease, car lease, utility bills ect together. Called my phone company but it was pointless, even though I could add her, it wouldnt reflect on the bill. Any ideas on further evidence?

  5. We had our interview in Charlotte this morning.

Took is in right on time. Friendly lady. Asked me the yes/ no questions and how we met and that was it! Glanced at our shared bank statements and nothing else.didn't want to see photos or anything!

Also stamped my passport as I mentioned I travel for work. Did not take my head card.

In and out in 12 mins! Painless.

Congrats! Did you front load your AOS package? ie Did you send in bonafide evidence at the time of filing?
