  1. So i am going through exactly what you've mentioned. Came over got married Husband's commanding officer said unfortunately he couldn't hold him off any longer and now i'm here while he's in Afghanistan. As soon as i came over within 3 weeks we got court married, got a ssn, filed for aos, employment and advanced parole (march 26th). He deployed memorial day... and now i'm here... I'm able to drive on my canadian license for 6 months but can't get on insurance until i have an american license which i need my employment authorization for... Luckily it says as of may 19th ready to book interview for temp green card. I just have to bring in his orders to afghanistan and i'm allowed to go by myself... i'm not going to lie it sucks. We were long distance for 4 years and we get married and long distance again. I was really worried about being alone but a week before he deployed i met his friend's (they're deploying together) wife and shes showing me around town and we've gone out together.

So i'd say not to worry to much because the military community is nice from what i've seen LOL. but i would definitely submit paper work right away because everything is always a possibility with the military. Also i tried to expedite just the advanced parole so i could go home for some of the time but... nothing. they said i should get something in the mail requesting for evidence called since i never got it... asked them what the status is or what was happening and they said i would just have to wait.
hope that helps if you have any questions you can contact me :)

  2. My doctor made me do the blood work to confirm that I had MMR antibodies because they wear off over the years. Mine came back negative so I got another shot. That doesn't mean that immigration wouldn't have accepted my original vaccination paperwork. It just meant that I wasn't actually protected against MMR anymore. So it was helpful to know and helpful to get the updated shot so I am again protected. But again, immigration should not care about that! You have a record showing that you had all your shots... that's all that matters.

Phew... Okay I'm glad I got the bloodwork too ... That way I can update myself for free lol. Thanks for the info!!! ?

  3. I have my immunization record and got my updated shots at the walk in clinic today. However the doctor told me that even though I have the shots/records I need to get the blood work to show my immunity to MMR and varicella.

Reading the doctor reviews it seemed like the immunization record was enough.... I'm quite nervous as my medical is On the 30th and I'm not sure if my blood work will return before then especially with the holidays. Could someone clarify if i need to bring blood work showing immunity or if documented record of vaccination is acceptable?

  4. i would suggest the issuer of the check contact their bank to discuss options available. most banks have options like allowing your account to be overdrawn, especially if ur account gets direct deposits. So see if ur fiance's bank will help him out. If not like everyone said unless the fee goes through ur petition will be returned

  5. Did you upload a photo in the DS160? I think that is all you need to do. I did not attach a photo with my Packet 3 I attached:

    1. DS-160 Completed Application
    2. DS-160 Confirmation Page
    3. Packet 3 Checklist, completed and signed

If you did not attach the photo in the actual application, maybe contact the consulate. I think in the end they would be the ones to know for sure. Packet 4 generally comes pretty quickly after packet 3 so if you get that you are probably OK. Consulate in the end will be the only ones to say for sure.

With the vaccination info, my understanding is that as long as you get it and bring it to the interview/medical that you will be fine? Others might have more info on this one.

i didn't attach a photo with the email but i'll email the consulate to make sure its okay... thank you for the replyy!!

  6. Hello all! I am very worried...

I've already sent my packet 3 to mtl but I think I filed my ds160 wrong...

I didn't attach a photo and the immunization record I put no due to not having the record, however the city is mailing my immunization record to me. Will this be a problem?

I didn't explain myself when filling it out...

Could I resend packet three win all the right info?

    And re do the ds160?

    ?

I'm sorry in advanced and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated thank you!!!

  7. No problem, NLR :)

On packet 4; I'm not sure, I forgot to state that in my email and they sent it to me the next morning via email anyways. I'd email them with your case number at the top and try asking :)

Thank you so much!!! :) hopefully I hear back soon but I'll try and send another email and thanks again

  8. Hello everyone! I am so confused with packet 3 so I have a couple questions.

    1. We've recieved or mtl number and when checking the status it says ready to book interview, so am I good to submit packet 3?

    2. When sending packet 3 do I send just the checklist signed and dated Or do I actually include copies of the documents listed?

2a. If I need to include documents what are they?

I'm sorry if it's repeat questions but the instructions were unclear and I wasn't able to find an answer. Thank you guys in advance

  9. Hello! I'm a little confused. So when do u actually book the appointment? After it says ready? After sending packet 3? Thank you guys in advanced
