My case status changed twice today At 10:30 AM it was changed to "Approved" when I received the first text, second text received after a minute, checked the status again and it said, "New Card is being Produced." This is the first time status changed since I filed last year. I will update once I receive the card.

Hi Everyone:

When is considered the filing date of I-751 (remove conditions on residence)? Is the date USCIS receives the paper work, the date we sign on the I-751 form or the date I mail it?

Because husband and I prepared early and already signed the form. My green card will not expire until 11-08-2016. Would that work? Or we should sign and date with 90 days of my green card expiry date?

I would go with 90 day's.

I got the following message on the USCIS website. But i haven't gotten an "approval" message or anything before this. Is this basically saying that my ROC has been approved and this is my approved new card?

This the way it's worked for everybody else on here?

I got approved without sending any rental or paperwork with both name on it. I own my home before I got married to my husband.

Can you make sure, because before you got approved the letter was fine. But once you have been approved, it said that you can't use the letter but need a stamp in your passport. Your card will arrive 5-6 days after you get your letter, my husband did.

No never got a interview. I have a friend who work in immigration office and was told that as long as all the documents are provided when you file, they will just approve application.

They sure do make things hard sometime for individual :-(

Could be the case, but getting the temporary green card stamp seem like a good idea, at least call your local office and check it out.

My husband just received his green card yesterday, and the letter that came with it said not to travel with extension letter. They said if you have to travel, make a appointment with the local USIC and get a temporary green card stamp in your passport to cover you on your travel or you will have a hard time getting back into the USA.

Can someone update me, got approved on 24 May 16.

Just make sure you take a copy of your green card extension letter with you.

Got letter in the mail today that I'm approved!!! Yay!!! Says that new green card should be sent to me in the next 60 days. Thank you all guys! It's been a journey:) and this forum is such a help!! I! Wish the best of luck to the rest who is still waiting on their approvals.

Send in your document now, you will get a checklist for missing document or not. But will need it for interview for sure.

They don't give you the results in the UK, they're forwarded to the embassy, and the people at the medical office said they can't send the results there because it can get lost without our file present. I even asked if they could delay sending the results and she said no. Maybe we should just do the medical and if it gets lost they could send the results again?

I did call the NVC today, petition hasn't left. She said they "never" send the documents too late for the interview, but I am not really convinced. I do realize they have had bad weather but then that should have been taken into consideration when scheduling the interview. I am grateful we got an interview date so quickly but these mitigating factors can be stressful.

Yes in the UK, all medical results are forward to embassy and not given to individual. And has to be there for interview or no interview will be granted.

File still has not left NVC, thanks to whatever holdup is going on over there, even though interview is in a little over a week. This in itself is stressful enough but husband can also not make the medical appointment until the file is at the Embassy, and it takes 4 working days for those results to be received after the appointment. We don't want to take any chances in booking an appointment because they charge a 100 pound cancellation fee. So it looks like acceptance will be provisional at best. It's just...frustrating.

Let's not forget the bad weather that east coast was having. This might explain why files not leaving NVC on time.

Yes he is with me. Got visa back in two days after interview because I told them that I would like him to fly back with me and the lady made sure it would be ready. Got visa back two days before we flew back to US. And yes only get SSN Card once you in process thur immigration at airport.

Dhwheels ... we were wondering, now that my hubby has his visa approved, the next step is that his Consulate will mail his passport with the visa stamped into it. If you check that you want them to send social security card it will arrange in mail once your back in the US. My husband got his a week after entering the US.

Your welcome and I got my hubby back with me on 31 Jan 14 after interview on 24 Jan14. Just make sure you tell them at interview you would like to fly back to US in 3 days and you should get your visa printed in two days. That what happen for us. Good luck on your journey.

Hi all. Could anyone tell me categorically how long a uk police certificate is valid for please?

I am a uk citizen with an American spouse so my interview will be at the US embassy in the UK sometime this spring.

My police certificate was issued in May 2013 so I am needing to know if it will still be valid for my interview.

It is only good for one year. So as long as you get a interview before May you should be good to go.
