hi nobbie
yes we had it all ready for them - form 5 filled out, a certified copy of the marriage cert, print out of the i-94, passport with k1 visa. our adjuster took 15 minutes to do his own personal work (putting things in his wallet) as well as talking to others in the office (i think he was ready to go to lunch) and then spent 5 minutes looking over our document and mentioned for us to wait. he went somewhere (i think to talk to supervisor) and came back and said could not be done as we were already married so she was not a fiancee any longer (we were married) so k1 and i-94 was no longer valid. We would have to wait for the AOS to completed and gave us a number to call (immigration number 1-800-375-5283). I did not call that number yet as we at that time had not sent in the aos yet - we just sent it in.
There is a few offices not so far away from us we going to try tomorrow. Hopefully we will have better luck with another aos office.

Got a question about getting my fiancee now wife a SSN.
We got married this month and went down to the SSA office to get a # for her along with the name change.
They said they could not give her one as we were already married. The processor stated if she came in to get the number before she was married she would be ok but because now she is no longer a "fiancee" we must wait till the AOS is completed before she could get an SSN.
Is this true? Are we stuck to wait mths or year + until our AOS is approved or is there a way around this?
I am wondering if he rejected our application because we were trying to change her name as well. If we kept it her mainden name would it get approved? The processor did not give this as an option for us..
Thanks

Reading a lot of treads lately and came to the following conclusion:
CSC did not slow down and transfer the I-821D Consideration of Deferred Action to TSC to start working on I129F... they did this to start working on H1B's. This year they got they reached their cap within the first week for the 2014 year on H1B's (65,000 regular and 20,000 premium).
I am not sure how many of the H1B petitions went to CSC but can speculate it was a lot. If this is the case I don't see movement of the I129F for some time (3-4-? mths)...
Is this what others are seeing as well?

I had a call into the NCSC second tier support today and they said as of a March 22 report (i wasn't able to find this date on any form that was published - the one is see was as of Feb 28th) that they were still on July 18th petitions. I was quoted 2 mths longer wait for September petitions.

thanks all we were able to get an ssn finally! - we did it with her maiden name. I didn't want to rock the boat too much persay as the adjuster we had never seen an online i-94 printout before so we were just happy to get an ssn.
Once the card comes in would i be able to go to the office and change the name right away since we have the marriage certificate or should we wait a while to get the name change done?
