  1. Hello - my fiancé had her interview on Sept. 26th, and did not have document translation for custody arrangement. She obtained required translation, called embassy, and rescheduled for October 18th. She went back to embassy, showed translation, and was told come back for her visa Oct. 22cnd. She received visa, and immediately left for here - arrived 23rd. It is difficult, but produce everything you can, and she will be here soon. Good luck.

  2. Hello -just got back from Samarkand and saw your post. I hope situation has improved. Looks like they are looking for reasons to deny right now. Aziza was approved, but delayed because document on child custody was not translated to Russian. They rescheduled her to bring paper on Oct. 15th, but called today and said that was a holiday, do not return until the 17th. They told her she could pick-up visa on oct. 22cnd. Our letter of entry to U>S> expires on 10/24 - we are nervous. For some reason the embassy is making it almost impossible to get visa. I hope all gets better for you , and hope you get your visa.

  3. Hello - our approved petition took 3 weeks to arrive at the Tashkent embassy, and another 2 weeks to receive packet 3. It never hurts to call or email, but response is slow. my fiancé actually went to the embassy in person (from Samarkand), and received very little information. Unfortunately, interviews are taking a long time to schedule - our Noa2 was on June 25th. Her visa interview is scheduled for September 24th. I would not get too worried, but it is always wise to follow through. There is a way to go to the DHL site and track packages to Tashkent for their arrival - search this site for "DHL" and it helps - I was able to see that a package from NVC arrived in Tashkent July 19th - I assumed it was ours. I know the wait is horrible and long, but be persistent. Good luck in all.

  4. hello - my fiancée lives in Samarkand and we received our NOA2 in June. unfortunately, we are in same situation - her interview is not until September 24th. She actually made the journey to the Tashkent embassy to see if date could be changed, and was told very politely "No". It appears they are running behind schedule right now with worker visas, and are only periodically doing K-1 interviews. I wish I had better news. Good luck to you and feel free to contact if there is any information I could share with you.

  5. Need a little advice from fellow members. We were approved in June with NOA2. NVC set information to Uzbekistan on July 5th (the embassy in Tashkent has still not received hard copy file as of yesterday). It is my understanding that she will receive packet 3 with instructions on how to proceed. The problem is Uzbekistan has no postal system like the U.S. Her email is often down, and towards the first of the month she is often without phone service. Are there any members familiar with the process in Uzbekistan (she lives in Samarkand)? Any advice would be greatly appreciated - every day waiting seems like an eternity. Thank you, and good luck to everyone.

  6. Just went to USCIS website and saw RFE status - said they were mailing out today. Happy case was touched so soon, but very scared and confused about what RFE could be about (thought I had prepared very thorough documentation). Heading to meet my fiancé Saturday for a week (5th trip in 8 months), so will not see RFE until I return. Have to say a little nervous and shaken right now, and wondering how long an RFE can further delay a case. Thanks, and good luck to everyone.

  7. First time posting, but a little confused right now. Went to USCIS website (as I do every day ) to check case status (received NOA1 2/7/13). Since filing has always shown case as "initial review". Today however, no information available. Message said "We have no information on your case, please contact USCIS for further information". I called the phone number ( call answered immediately ) and was told they have no information at all, and are currently "updating" cases. They said to call back after the 5 month timeframe if I do not hear anything further. I don't know if this is good news or bad news. Has anyone else ever received a similar message? I am going through good and bad emotions right now. Considering it has been less than 4 months I cannot complain - especially when I see how long others have been waiting. Thanks for any advice and good luck to everyone.
