  1. We submitted a stellar package and even the IO said so, no RFEs but got an interview anyway. We had our recent tax returns, wife was on title to the house now due to a re-fi, more bank statement, boarding passes, etc. since we had initially submitted our package The IO went through our file and said he was amazed at how organized we were. Asked the questions off the 751, ever been a terrorist, etc. He then asked for the wife's green card so he could make copy and when I asked why and he said if it's approved he'll need to keep the card. My stomach really knotted up. He said he was going to keep the card since we were approved. We then sat there and BS'd for like ten minutes, telling us stories other couples he knew were not legit. He told us he was retiring in 2 months and shared his retirement plans. I asked him why we got an interview and he said no idea. It was more relaxed than the AOS interview. All that stress and anxiety for nothing!

My one bit of advice: once they tell you that you are approved, go over all the relevant dates that are going on the card. They got the "Resident Since" wrong on the 2 year and 10 year! Good luck.

Hi! Do you have children? I noticed that more couples without children were asked for RFE..

  2. I have some questions.. Buddies, i need your helpful answers and thank you in advance!!!

    1. My k1 Visa will expire in Nov 3, i already filed for my AOS, what will be my identification saying that my stay here is legal?

    2. I filed AOS without SSN, is that ok or would it cause an RFE?

    3. A futuristic question, can I file a petition for my siblings to go here once i got my green card?

    THANK YOU!!!
