  1. Yes, the appointment was scheduled by phone...in Havana it is the only way for scheduling an appoitment:

How to Apply for a Nonimmigrant Visa

Family members and associates in the United States call our Visa Information and Appointment Scheduling Service from anywhere in the U.S., toll-free at 1-866-374-1769 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. (Eastern time), Monday-Friday on behalf of the applicant in Cuba.

Family members and associates in the United States can also obtain visa information at this number. Callers pay a nominal fee to speak with English and Spanish-speaking operators. First time applicants can expect a wait time of more than a year for an appointment.

    How does the service work?

To use the service, family members or associates in the U.S. call 1-866-374-1769 to purchase a Personal Identification Number (PIN). PINs can be purchased for $11 USD using Visa or MasterCard. The PIN allows the caller to access the service multiple times for information and appointment scheduling for up to a total of 8 minutes. The PIN is nonrefundable. In the event it is lost the family member or associate must obtain a new one. If the time allowed for the PIN runs out, the caller must obtain a new PIN and call the service again. Up to 5 immediate family members residing in the same household may be scheduled on one call using one PIN. Immediate family members include: husband, wife, son, daughter, brother, sister, mother and father. Please note there is no guarantee that all family members will be scheduled for the same day.

  2. In the package 3 says that my fiance has to show an Appointment Letter (or Appointment Confirmation) the day of the interveiw (which was scheduled for the June 5, 2013). She already has completed all the documents (forms, medical exam, evidences, etc.) and also she has the date of the interview, but do NOT has "La Citacion" (Appointment Letter or Appointment Confirmation)

I have called three times where I setup the appointment and they said they do not send me any Appointment Letter to anyone. All information about interview date and hour is only verbal.

For nearly two weeks we have been calling or sent emails to the US Interesets Section in Havana, but still we could not communicate with them.

1 - Please, I would appreciate any ideas on what to do in this situation ...

2 - Any applicant or petitioner in the U.S. Interests Section in Havana knows if this
Appointment Letter is a requirement in order to have the interview the day that was scheduled?.

  3. Yesterday I called NVC and the gave a case number...then I called Cuban's Interesest Office in Havana for scheduling a date for the interview, but I was informed that they have not received my documents yet ("processing status at NVC)...so they could not scheduling an interview for my fiance until they have the original papers from NVC...

    My questions:

1- How many days can take the NCV to send the documents to the consulate after a case number has been generated?

2- How can we track it (by DHL) if we don't have the tracking reference or account?

    Thank you in advance...

Sorry for my tech ingnorance...but you said: "tDownload a pdf printer and then fill out the forms and "print to pdf" you can then email the documents"

I have dowloaded the form, I fill out the form but I can't save it. I know that if I use a scan I can save it and then send it by mail, but when I type my information on these forms I want to save it, I can't do it..

  5. Yesterday, April 25, I received the NOA2 (I-797 / Approval Notice). The approval is dated April 19.

On average how many weeks it takes for the NVC generate a case number?

Appointments for the interview at the US Interests Section in Havana can take up to 5-6 months (after call 1000s time to a phone # that always is busy).... My concern is that my Approval Notice is valid 04/192013 - 08/18/2013 ...... What could I do? Suggestions, ideas, please ...

  6. I was from August 20, 2012....My 129F was approved on April 19. I knew that I was approved because I checked my case status on USCIs site. However, I haven't received any eamil and and still waiting for my NOA2 (Hard copy).

Have you cheeked the USCI's site?

I hope that you will receive good news in the next few days...

  7. Last Friday when I was checked my USCIS's case status I saw that my 129F had been approved.

Message says: "On April 19, 2013, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283"

I did not receive any notification by email and I still have not received my NOA2 (hard copy) so I don't know what "instructions" I need to follow.

    Please, could you help me:

1- What is the average waiting time to receive the NOA2 by mail after 129F has been approved by USCI (in the computer system)?

2- What is the average waiting time to receive the notification from the National Visa Center after 129F has been approved by USCI?

3- Can I continue this process of the K1 without having received the NOA2 (hard copy?

4- Can I call the NVC without having the NOA2 hard copy? If the answer is yes, then what would be the case number (reference) I would give them? It would be the same case number that USCI assigned me at the beginning of the process (NOA10?

  8. This morning I checked my case's status....and finally, after 8 months (NOA1 08/20/2012) my I129F has been approved.

Your Current Case Status for Form I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E)

On April 19, 2013, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

For approved applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include USCIS sending notification of the approved application/petition to the National Visa Center or the Department of State. For denied applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include the processing of an appeal and/or motions to reopen or reconsider and revocations.

  9. My case (129F for K1) was received by USCIS (Vermont) on August 20, 2012 (I received the NOA1 by mail on August 22, 2012). I've been waiting for almost 8 months without any news, even though the USCIS's website says that the processing time is about 5 months for 129F (between NOA1 and NOA2).

Two weeks ago I asked for a Service Request and a representative told me that I would have an answer in 15 days or less ....I am still waiting...

Please, there is someone else who is in this long wait (> 7-8 months)?

Is there anyone who received the NOA1 in August 2012 and is still waiting without having received any other notification?
