    3 years rule...?

    Im having confusion, please help me. I wanted to file naturalization based on 3 years rule..but this one's confusing me>

    I got Married, April 20, 2012 - if the 3 years ruled applies on this one based on the date i got married ..im already qualified to file.

    BUT. I went back to my country May 2012 for emergency reason, we didn't file for AOS but instead, my husband filed a CR1 petition which was approved and i had my 2 year conditional permanent visa on May 2013.

    We applied for 10 Year permanent visa and i got approved last August 2015.

    if I will consider the Marriage date. April 2012 - i am qualified?

    If i will consider the date i got my 2 year conditional visa, May 2013 - then i have to wait for February 2016 (90 days early filing) ..

    just need enlightenment. Thank you so much, Happy New Year to all VJ's

    I just wanted to thank all of you who have answered my questions and have helped me with my immigration journey. I am now a US citizen. This site has been tremendously helpful, and I didn't have to pay the extra money to have somebody do the paperwork for me. Once again, thank you. GOD bless you all.     hello VJ'ers. here'r my case..

    Ive been married to my husband here in the US 2012, went back to the Philippines (its a long story) and came back here May 20, 2013 with temporary GC, we just renewd and got approved the ROC this August. Now, my husband wants to retire in the Philippines next year. But i read that having a Permanent GC and wants to be out of the country, i have to go back here in the US every 6 months for continuation of residency and the uscis will not think that im abandoning my residency? We read, that i can file for my naturalization somewhere in Guam .. but its gonna be expensive both ways.

    Question : is the 3 year rule applicable to the time we got married or the time i got my temporary 2 years GC ?

    Actually, they live in Texas and USCIS changed I-751 filling address for Texas from VSC to CSC on 01/14/15.

    So. They should've sent to CSC in the first place!!

    I think their name should be on CSC to avoid confusion. So, I'll change it, OK ;)?

    No Sir, (im a she :P) .. we always file our cases in VSC and then on this i-751.. when i called them up to follow up my biometrics schedule, the lady told me that my case was transferred to CSC .. 2 weeks after that, i receved my biometrics letter from CSC.. :)
