Hi just want to know if any of you have a similar situation, i file my i751 this oct. Including my son in the form since we arrived her in the US together and our GC expires same date as well. Then i received my i797 this nov with my name in it without my sons name.. is that ok? Can we still travel out of the country with just my i797?? What should i do since we have a plan to travel abroad by january?

Did u recieve ur child crba and passport already and when?bcoz we have same case i think..how long u wait for it after u send ur additional requirements?and were still waiting for it too..and its been 5 weeks already

You should call the embassy if it takes more than 2 weeks.. i receive my daughter crba already november 2015 i forgot the exact date..

The NOA1 means that the envelope has been received in the office but they haven't checked through everything yet. So if the payment was in theenvelope, as it should be, they will have it. Your husband should check his bank account to see if the check has been cashed.

If there is anything wrong or missing with your paperwork, they will let you know.

actually he already receive a hard copy that says they already got the payment..

Just want to follow on this thread since my husband file i130 and received the NOA1 january first week i guess.. anyway just want to ask is the noa1 the receipt that they send you through mail that they already got your payment?? Thanks in advance whoever will answer..

Last dec18,2013 i send the proof of parents relationship and then yesterday i send the us passport and they received today based on the tracking number. At first they just want to see more pictures of the parents and then after 18days the consul called me that she want to see the original us passport of the father again from that day i never heard nothing from them.

But in the interview it is al smooth.. Everything i mailed is ok and get the crba soon... Hi to all vj i hope anyone can help me.. This coming sept 1 is our interview for my daughter 3month old crba.. I just want to ask what would i expect and what are the other add ons requirements that i can bring aside to what is written in the checklist so that we will not undergo dna testing that can cost us more.. Im just alone in filling it i just dont want to miss everything.. And also the span of years that he is in the us the requirement that we have is w2 ,his naturalization, credit report and background check only is that enough??

Yes, your son will be under K2. What is the reason your son's name is different from yours? If its because ur anulled, you have to provide an annulment decree or divorce papers...

There will not be a problem as long as he is included in the visa application and when you go for the interview you can prove that he is your son with a birth certificate. If the fathers name is on the birth certificate, you will need to prove that you have custody of him from a divorce, or if there was no marriage or divorce, you will need father's permission. You will also need father's permission if he has access to the children in the divorce papers. The embassy will let you know what you need, and this must be provided at the interview.
