I suggest you to call the NVC and ask if those documents in fact are missing. We went through the same situation, we sent everything and they asked for a new police certificate saying that it was missing. Sometimes I think that they are just trying to difficult.

the most annoying part was at the NVC, because they sent RFE for ds-230 and affidavit of support, they requested the police clearence and affidavit support there was a error in it. At the medical exame I had to take a vaccine that was missing on vaccination card.

10 months for the whole process, now I am just waiting for my visa to arrive. At the USCIS stage it took about 3 months.

The whole process usually takes 12 months average but it can takes longer. In my case it took 10 months and could of been less then that because we where filling the process abroad, so we had a delay in every packet that it was sent to USA.

Like Yang-Ja mentioned, "most common RFEs are for lack of evidence or bona fide marriage or discrepancies in the I-130 or related paperwork. Or sometimes missing paperwork", if prepared a good paperwork there is nothing to be worried.

and this isn't done till after the casefile is marked 'issued'.

Yea, the lady told me that the casefile is marked issued there and I should wait another week. The mailling from Rio to where I live usually takes 2-3 business days.

Looks like it was issued on the 8th. That's still less than a week. There is no need to worry for now. Depending on the method of delivery used, it can take up to two weeks.

yea, we are just anxious get the visa and take the flight hehe.

I have just called the DoS hotline and the lady said that the visa it was issued and I should wait another week, if I dont recieve it, I should email the consulate.

Guess the only option is to wait.

usually a week to two weeks for generating the visa packet, after 'issued' tag,

but then a courier gets involved.

Our visa status on CEAC shows that the visa was issued but we think that is taking too long to get in our hands.

any idea of how long it will take?

My wifes visa status shows that the visa was issued on nov. 8 and we still didnt recieved it =(

Dont worry, in my case we had a RFE for affidavit and ds-260, even though we sent everything. luckly we had everything in hands to send immediatly.

Visa issued, now waiting for them to mail it next monday!

They will probably send back those pictures and other proofs just like they did with me. They mostly request that at the NVC stage in case of reestablishing domicile and interview.

If you see DS-260 Pending then you need to fill it out because sometimes US Embassy asked you during your interview. Don't listen to NVC because even though they tell you it's not required you do need to fill it out if it shows pending or waiting for completion to be on safe side. Most of DS-260 information is similar to what you fill in DS-230 so you would be finished with it in few hours. Once you completed, please print out confirmation page and also print an application with all information you fill inorder to show it during your interview.

Hi guys the name's Mark....

I am married am ready to start filing for my spouse but people at an agency are saying that it could take anywhere from 2-3 years for the process to go through....is that true. Should I just file the papers myself? I guess the I130 is easy enough but the proof of domicile and financial responsibility might be tricky since I have been living here for almost 8yrs. How long do people wait to receive an interview after sending in all the documentation? Any help or advice would be great. We would love to move in like a year or a year and a half......maybe that's not possible

Well you can do the process by yourself, there is no need of contacting any agency because its not that hard and it wont take that long (3 yrs) to be done. I started mine in Jan. and got the interview with my wife for next week, so I can say that it took 11 months.

Hello VJ's, I was wondering if I have to fill the ds-260 form for my wife's visa interview since we have already sent the ds-230 before. (also do I have to pay any fee?)

It depends of each embassy, for my wife's case was 12 days.

Hello VJ, today I was going through the hole process for a review since my wife has an Interview next month and I found out a mistake on my G325a form, which asks my mothers address, since me and my wife were filling 2 pages at the same time I didnt notice the mistake. Could that result into a deny? Could I still try to fix it?

so afraid of a denial? Did you not prepare a good petition package? Do you have a hard embassy. have you read all your countries interview reviews to see whats up and what to maybe be alert about?

I dont know, maybe because we are young (21) and they might think that we are trying to commit a fraud or something like that. So far I see people saying good things about their interviews here in Rio de Janeiro and most of them got their case approved. I'm just paranoid with this situation.

Sorry guys but I have been very anxious for my wife's interview, we are together since 2008 and married since 2011. We got our interview scheduled for Nov. 1 and our aniverssary of 2 yrs is on Oct. 27. Anyways, we are very affraid of a deny. In case of approval will she get the GC as soon as she arrive in US?
