  1. Hi i file I-130 sometime 4 years ago.  I completed the form and sent it to USCIS.  However my sister is currently married.  Can i still sponsor her and her current husband to the US.  If i am still able to sponsor her, what do i need to do?  Do i need to complete another form of the I-130 and send it to the USCIS.  Do i need to pay the fee again?  Can anyone help me with my situation?  Once again thanks this community for helping me with my previous cases.  Everything went smoothly and my parent/brother and sister are now in the US as permanent resident.

  2. My son and daughters are having an interview sometime April. They are all under the age of 14. My son and daughter all have a different interview date. I don't know why but one is in the middle of April and one at the end. Do we(as me and my wife) need to be at the interview? Due to my work schedule and unavailability to take off work, I can't attend their interview at all. Can they show up at the interview by themselves? Of course an adult will take them to the consulate but do we physically have to be there at the interview? Thank you for the help and respond.

  3. Hi,

My Parents just recently came to the US about a month ago. I am waiting for the Permanent Resident Card to came in order to apply for my brother and sister. In the mean while, i would like to know what is needed in order to sponsoring for my brother and sister. The petitioner will be my parents. If anyone have a specific checklist or cover letter that specify what is needed for the I-130, can you please let me know. From reading the forum and researching, this is what i found out so far.

Petitioner is a LP resident and the required documents are listed below. If i am missing something please let me know.

    I-130 for each individual

Petitioner G-325A for each individual beneficiary

Copy of Petitioner Permanent resident card

    Copy of Petitioner Birth Certificate

    Petitioner Photo (2)

    Tetitioner Marriage Cert (copy)

    beneficiary Birth Cert and Translation

    Beneficiary Passport

    Beneficiary Photo (2)

    Beneficiary G-325A

    Application Fee ($420)

Since my parent income is not enough for the sponsoring. They need my income as a main sponsor. What document do i need for this? Please let me know if i need anything else or i am missing something. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Once again Thank You for your time and effort

  4. Hi,

I just recently file i-130 for my parents and they were approved by USCIS. Next month, they are having an interview with the Consolate. However, due to the new regulation, my brother and sisters can't come along with my Parents. I was reading something regarding the I-824. Can i use this form to bring my brother and sisters as Following-To-Join? I read the form and kinda confused. I didn't file an I-130 for my brother and sisters. I though it is better to wait for my parents to file the form since it takes atleast 10 years for my application to be accept and it only takes 3 years for my parents. Does that mean, now i have to wait for my parents come to the US for 3 years in order for my brother and sisters to come here? Is there anyway that i can expedite the process? I really want to be reunited with my family in the U.S. Any help is greatly appreciated.

  5. Hi,

My application to NVC has finally approve and they are forwarding the petition to the U.S Embassy or Consulate. I received a formal notification of the visa interview for my parents in 2 months. What do i need to do at this moment or what my parents need to bring to the interview? What the interview is about or do anyone have an example of the questions? I know that after the interview, i need to apply for my parents the permanent resident card through uscis.gov/uscis-elis when they got A-Number and DOS case ID. Do i need to apply for SS# or it is automatic. Please help me, i am kinda excited for my parents and afraid that i will miss something. Any help is greatly appreciated.

  6. I think you are missing quite a bit of information. You do not file I-485, your parents need to wait for consular processing that eventually will end up with interview at the embassy and visa issuance. Your brothers and sisters get no immigration benefit out of your petition for parents. You have to either file separate petition for them or your parents - when they imigrate - will have to do that. Check the VJ guides for details on I-130 processing.

  7. Hi,

I am currently new to this forum and i just recently completed the I-130 by myself. I am new to this entire process and I have couple questions regarding the process. I completed the I-130 couple months ago, and i received an I-797 NoA stating that my petition has been approved for my parents. At this moment, can i file I-485 (Application to Register Permanent Residence) for my parents eventhough they still currently not in the U.S or receive the Visa yet? My case has been directed to NVC for further processing at this time.

In addition, i have another question regarding the I-130. I still have brother and sisters that are under 21 yr olds. Do they get to travel along with my parent? Do i have to file I-485 for all of my brother and sisters right now, since my I-130 is approved?

    Any help is greatly appreciated.
